Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Reliaquest Bowl, Bama vs. Michigan, Dec. 31, 11:00 AM, ESPN...

If GMac had tried something like this in 2008, younger Coach Saban would have said, "That is not how we do things here. There's the the door. We will do what we can to help find another place to play, but you are done here" (but probably in saltier language).

True.

Funny thing if we had 2009 or 2010 GMac at QB this year we easily make the Playoffs.

I can’t stand to listen to him now but he had guts at QB.

That 2009 SECCG vs Florida he played out of his mind.

He maximized every bit of talent he had and coaching he received.

Played the NC game vs Texas with broken ribs.

Gutsy player.

He, Coker, McCarron, Sims, or Tua would have thrown all over Michigan

Hurts was coachable. I'm not sure Milroe is. He's had QB coaches working with him for years and he just hasn't progressed.

Exactly this.

Jalen Hurts is the ideal Player and Person you want on your team.

Extremely high character and coachabilty and incredibley hard working.

Tough work at that.

It can not be easy to be a 2 year starter at QB and get surpassed by a True Freshman.

Hurts accepted it, supported Tua, and worked his butt off in the film room and practice honing skills and getting better.

Then when he got his next opportunity vs UGA he flourished and saved the day.

Milroe possesses none of this qualities.

You can’t coach him in the Film room because he either pouts and throws a hissy fit tantrum or mentally collapses under the stress.

You can’t fix technical parts of his game because when opponents pressure him he reverts to poor mechanics.

That’s because he’s not putting in enough work in on his footwork and throwing motions or he is repping but not really taking the lessons to heart and just trusts his natural way is better.

He definitely doesn’t want to compete with Ty because he knows Ty is better and that’s why he had to concoct an NIL/Lank agreement to keep his spot instead of earning it.

Every team in the country could use a Jalen Hurts and nobody needs a Jalen Milroe.

Hurts is reaping the rewards for his character and hard work now............I aint a Philly fan but I will pull for him always

Perfectly.
Most folks don’t know that when Sark got fired at USC and CNS hired him as an analyst, Saban set him up with a new therapist. His name was “Doc” something or other….
