Well, as someone that is on the outside trying to figure things, I think PlayerUA just documented some of our thoughts. Lately, (since Fran dipped) I've been feeling that CMM was not the real reason Bama was reeling. Maybe CMM was kept on board, because he was the right man to raise that $100 million.
Just the other week I was back bashing Moore for the Shula/Croom/Award deal. Then I find out, that apparently he had no knowledge of it.
I still remember before Shula was hired, how the media covered the story. Atleast three times that week Shula's face appeared on the front page. During that time, many thought it was a close race between the two. I don't know HOW, because the media had all but sealed the deal. SOMEONE at Bama had to give the media that impression!
I hope President Witt can continue his work at the university. He has seemed to do what is right and do so with his chin up. I just hope he doesn't get knocked out due to it.
BTW, who is for certain that Ozzie wants to be AD? I would also think that being AB and what Ozzie is, as two different things. Ozzie will no doubt have lesser powers at Bama. I hope he is looked at, but he isn't far from retirement himself. The school should look far and wide and find someone that is a true leader.
I'm not saying CMM is not a true leader, but it's time for Bama move on. For too long now the talk has been about off the field issues at that campus. It has to start at the head, and if CMM is not the head....
