This is the list of offensive linemen we have on the roster. I want to know who is hurt and who is not.
- Evan Mathis RT SR ? (I missed this one but he is big)
- Kyle Tatum RT SO 6-7 298
- Antoine Caldwell - C - FR 6-3 281
- Von Ewing - RT - JR 6-5 304
- B.J. Stabler - RT - FR 6-4 292
- Dawson Brown - RT - FR 6-5 310
- Mark Sanders - RT/RG - JR 6-7 328
- Derrick Duke - LG - FR 6-3 283
- Al Jefferson - RG - FR 6-2 275
- Wesley Britt - LT - SR 6-8 313
- Chris Capps - RT - FR 6-5 285
- Justin Moon - RT - FR 6-4 304
- J.B. Closner - C - JR 6-4 290
- Cody Davis - LT - FR 6-7 282
- Travis West - RG - FR 6-3 280
- Danny Martz - LG - SR 6-4 291
That is 7 RT, 2 RG, 1 RT/RG, 2 C, 2 LG, 2 LT. That is 16 offensive linemen. I don't know about you but I think we have got enough RTs. We are expecting the WR freshmen to step, so I think we need to expect the OL freshmen to step up also. Are these guys there just to be there or are they there because the coaches put them on the roster because they can play. All I hear is the problem with depth on the OL. If I am correct, it wasn't to long ago that we started a pretty young offensive line, that being Britt's freshmen year and they were pretty good. I also think Georgia had a pretty young offensive line last year and they held there on. I think they even played in the SEC championship game last year. If you are a young offensive linemen and see that you might have a chance to contribute this year, I would think you would do whatever it takes to make sure you are ready when your number is called. I know we have some of these hurt, but someone needs to step up. Flame if you want but we have plenty of big uglies. Only five can play at one time. Someone push the one in front of you and make each other better. Kickoff is only 16 days away. Lets stomp a whole in Utah State.
