This is the list of offensive linemen we have on the roster. I want to know who is hurt and who is not.

51 - Evan Mathis RT SR ? (I missed this one but he is big)
58 - Kyle Tatum RT SO 6-7 298
59 - Antoine Caldwell - C - FR 6-3 281
60 - Von Ewing - RT - JR 6-5 304
61 - B.J. Stabler - RT - FR 6-4 292
62 - Dawson Brown - RT - FR 6-5 310
63 - Mark Sanders - RT/RG - JR 6-7 328
65 - Derrick Duke - LG - FR 6-3 283
68 - Al Jefferson - RG - FR 6-2 275
70 - Wesley Britt - LT - SR 6-8 313
72 - Chris Capps - RT - FR 6-5 285
73 - Justin Moon - RT - FR 6-4 304
74 - J.B. Closner - C - JR 6-4 290
75 - Cody Davis - LT - FR 6-7 282
76 - Travis West - RG - FR 6-3 280
79 - Danny Martz - LG - SR 6-4 291

That is 7 RT, 2 RG, 1 RT/RG, 2 C, 2 LG, 2 LT. That is 16 offensive linemen. I don't know about you but I think we have got enough RTs. We are expecting the WR freshmen to step, so I think we need to expect the OL freshmen to step up also. Are these guys there just to be there or are they there because the coaches put them on the roster because they can play. All I hear is the problem with depth on the OL. If I am correct, it wasn't to long ago that we started a pretty young offensive line, that being Britt's freshmen year and they were pretty good. I also think Georgia had a pretty young offensive line last year and they held there on. I think they even played in the SEC championship game last year. If you are a young offensive linemen and see that you might have a chance to contribute this year, I would think you would do whatever it takes to make sure you are ready when your number is called. I know we have some of these hurt, but someone needs to step up. Flame if you want but we have plenty of big uglies. Only five can play at one time. Someone push the one in front of you and make each other better. Kickoff is only 16 days away. Lets stomp a whole in Utah State.

i think Caldwell and Stabler are Hurt. One of them is out for the season i think and the other is going to miss the first couple of games.

a couple of the others are banged up, too. i can't remember exactly.

Caldwell will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot.
Stabler injured his a finger (had surgery) and should be out only a couple of weeks.
Cody Davis was injured yesterday (knee) and it is unknown right now as to the seriousness of his injury.
Chris Capps was injured but was expected to be back at practice today.

This article linked in Today's Bama Team News has an in depth injury update along with some other Bama Team News.

Alabama's Bostick keeps job for now as No. 1 place-kicker

Injury update: Just a week into fall practice and four days into full-contact drills, Alabama is already nursing more than a dozen banged-up players.

The Tide held 13 players out of Monday's scrimmage. That number included starting cornerback Charlie Peprah (hamstring), starting middle linebacker Freddie Roach (knee surgery), receiver Will Roach (shoulder), tight end Greg McLain (elbow), safety Chris James (leg), as well as cornerback and West Morgan High product Eric Gray (hamstring).

Shula said most of the injuries weren't serious, though two rookie offensive line backups underwent surgery this past week. True freshman tackle B.J. Stabler will be out with a hand injury and true freshman center Antoine Caldwell broke a toe, requiring surgery early this week.

Wasn't Georgia at the bottom of the league in sacks allowed with something like 47???
