I live here in St. Louis, MO and tried to order the game but on my Dishnetwork it said that it was blacked out in all areas except AL and TN? I don't undetstand. Does anyone know why or did I not do something right? Most of the time it won't matter but I sure wanted to watch the Season Opener.
Thanks and

Roll Tide..........................

When I called Dishnetwork and ordered the ESPN Game plan they told me that it was part of the deal but when it was time for the game that channel was blacked out. I hit the info. button and it said that it is being blacked out except in AL and TN. I did not understand...................

On DirecTV, I noticed it was listed twice in the ESPN GamePlan section. One channel was blacked out (783), one wasn't (780). Don't know why it showed up that way, but it did....

I can only guess that you were on the wrong channel. I believe that on DTV the PPV channel was 783 and the Gameplan channel was 780. I would guess that it was similar for Dish. The PPV channel would show it as blacked out, but it would be on the Gameplan channel.

I live in Missouri, also and could not get it ordered through Cable One. It had a channel and I pressed <order> but had no luck. Talk about a way to ruin my night! Glad its on espn2 Saturday.

On DISH Network, the PPV game in AL and TN was on ch 455, and the ESPN gameplan coverage available to everyone outside AL and TN was on ch 465. I watched it in GA on ESPN gameplan ch 465.

The reason you couldn't order it was because it was not available on PPV in your area(only TN and AL). You had to have a subscription to ESPN gameplan. BTW, only $119 for the rest of the season, not a bad deal.

I watched in FLA

I ordered it on channel 780 (The Gameplan channel). It was $19.95. I forget this every year....lol. On gameday, It showed the game upcoming on channel 780 and 783. However, channel 783 was for residents in AL and TN only. So at the bottom of the channel it said, "Program not available in your area." If I would have been in AL or TN, I could have gotten it on that channel. Being in FL, you have to wait until coverage starts (7:00 pm et sat night) before it gives you the option of ordering it on ch 780. That really stinks because I always panic when I have to wait until the last minute to have the option of ordering(Out of AL or TN). On channel 783 (The PPV channel, in AL or TN) back home, you are able to order the game all day sat and the day before, thus no panic. That is very odd.......The panic really ensues when the first game of the year is ppv because I have had all of the off-season to forget all the quirks of Directv pay-per-view that I previously spoke of..... Roll Tide!!! and WAR DIRECTV!!!!!
