Thanks to everyone for telling me not to actually stalk MB. Ha, I promise it was a joke and no stalking will take place. However, I can make no promises regarding what my cat will do.

Since Cyrus will not enroll until summer and Snoop Dog Douglas is already enrolled bringing with him two years OL experience garnished with All SEC freshman honors, does this put Cyrus in redshirt territory?

In the 2009 class Bama signed the #1 OT Fluker and JUCCO tackle James Carpenter. Fluker redshirted and Carpenter filled Smith's vacated spot. I know some insiders said Fluker was having some trouble with his understanding of proper tecnique and that was the reason for his redshirt. However Cyrus appears more game ready than Fluker did at the same time in their careers. I'm just wondering what the consensus opinion is on a timetable for this bulldozer to see the field. Thanks

I believe I read, somewhere, that Cyrus stated that Arie had grown 3" and was heavier than this time last year. What if Cyrus has a similar growth spurt? It was mentioned, during the Cyrus saga, that Arie had grown into more of a RT or Guard. Would that affect Cyrus's quick feet and technique?

I don't think Cyrus will have a similar growth spurt. He's already 6'7'' and 325lbs. You're talking about Cyrus practically becoming an NBA-caliber center if he grew that much. He'll grow for sure...but I don't think he's going to get that much taller. I could be wrong but ya know.

How tall/heavy is Arie now? Why is he better suited for RG than tackle?
If he indeed has grown 3" like I think was stated by Cyrus at one point, he would be around 6'8" or 6'9". I am not certain, though. I'm not sure why he would be more suited for the RT or a guard position other than that size increase affecting his mobility or something. I think, too, that Arie is more of a "roadgrader" type runblocking lineman where Cyrus is more of a quickfooted pass blocking type.

There's a picture of the both of them on Cyrus' FB page, with another relative. IIRC, Cyrus appeared to be taller than Arie by at least 2" - maybe 3". I'll take a look back at it...

Definitely something in the genes. I think that has been confirmed. :)

I'd love to see them play on the same side. It just seems like two brothers would have a great sense of how to execute the double team blocks together.

I think the one who is better prepared for live game action will play.

either way, we'll have one of the best O lines in the country, with a load of talent waiting on the sideline for their chance.

A week ago Cyrus announced he'd play for Auburn. Feels more like a month ago. I felt like I'd been kicked in the gut. I'm so thankful that was all just a bad dream. :)

If I haven't posted this in the last 6 hours, I'd thought I'd say it again! ROLL TIDE ROLL! Im so glad we got Cyrus, he is a stud and will be an absolute monster at Bama. He went toe to toe with J. Clowney, and will be going up against Upshaw and those guys in practice. He will be a beast.
