Sounds like Stoutland has a good relationship with CK anyhow so I don't think losing Pendry will hurt that much. Can't help that much either but I'm pretty sure we look pretty good to CK

Can anyone give a synopsis about what CK said in the video. The sound was all the way up, but couldn't hear anything. I checked my sound in the control panel and everything looked okay. In fact on tidesports I could hear their video. Can anyone help? Please....

Listening to the interview, it really does come down down to Iowa and Bama. I am an eternal pessimist, but I think Iowa may win this one. I have to hope that the player situation at Iowa, between the drug testing fiasco and the players ending up in the hospital with the coach nowhere to be found, would sway him and his family against Iowa. I know I wouldn't send my kid there right now.

This is a strange situation, with an older brother already in place and probably becoming a starter. Even being biased, I think objectively that Bama would have more to offer than the competition. I think that it's a "push-pull" situation. All of our relationships with our siblings are complicated. I think it comes down to whether or not the "pull" to play with and relate to his brother overcomes the "push" factor to strike out on his own...

I am so thankful I am an eternal optimist! I think CK comes to Bama. I get the impression that they are a very tight knit family and he wants to play with his big brother. I sure hope so!

Hard to believe that a kid that was excited enough to push his brother to play for us, last year, would not want to join him this year. May be wrong, but i think he is in crimson next year! I sure do hope anyway.

I'm not sure where all the negativity towards his recruiting is coming from. Since the beginning of December he mentioned that he wanted to take all of his OVs. Now that he is everyone thinks he's going somewhere else. He put Awbarn in as a last minute replacement from Miami. He likes Iowa and they have some positives for him with teammates there and their NFL pedigree with OL but weather is a factor, small one but is, and he hasn't visited their campus since the summer of his SOPHOMORE season. He's been to UA many times since his sophomore season and last year was talking about how much he loved it before Arie came to us. I'm not afraid to put that lock type of status on him but I think some people are wavering on his decision b/c they don't want to get hurt if he goes somewhere else.

the way cyrus has been talking i'm not sure how luginbill can say anyone leads really. I just think he picked the upset, so if it happens he looks genius. He's been calling him a bama lean until now, so that just my guess.
I think you are correct on this one. But the barn has a good shot because they just graduated some good ones off of a championship team. They will be in his ear hard for sure.

If I had two sons ready to play Division 1 football, I would sure like them on the same team so I could watch both play instead of alternating time at two different stadiums every other saturday.

I was listening to JOX this morn and they were talking to some of the recruiting "insiders". Now, let me qualify that what I am about to bring up was being talked about with the Auburn "insider". It seems, though, that Cyrus may really be struggling with the idea of battling his brother for playing time at the same position. It could mean a position change for one or the other if both make the rotation. What say ye?

Cyrus made that statement about two weeks ago.

In that video link I posted he stated he likes the idea of playing with his brother. I think the issue of competin with his brother is a way schools like Auburn are negative recruiting with him. They are grasping at straws to get him. Why would it be an issue in college for 3 years when it was not an issue for them 3 years in HS. Remember they both played together in HS for 3 years on the OL. It just something they can say to create drama.

I'm from Maryland same area as CK and my brother and I both chose to attend BAMA together for college. Come on CK join your brother and ROLL with the TIDE!! Best decision we ever made!

The kind of "negative" publicity about other schools that Auburn uses may be a huge turn off to a kid like Cyrus. He doesn't seem like the type who could be swayed by bull**** if you ask me.

Was this an Auburn insider? Of course he will say things to make it look like Auburn is going to pull off the ultimate coup. Wishful thinking for those idiots.

Just my two cents but from following his recruiting process and statements made by everyone including those close to him, I would say the young man is very level headed and doing the right thing for him. If that is so, I would have to trust that he and his family would not even consider a place where the hammer will eventually fall and may leave him in the middle of his college career with possibly no football team at all. I don't believe for a second that he is that gullible but I have been wrong before. I hope he and family consider all the intangibles as well as what UA can offer for his future. Still, should he decide to go elsewhere, best of luck to him but I firmly believe that he will commit to us. Can you imagine what a road grading line that could make. Roll Tide Arie!

I'm pretty sure they'll drive over to Tuscaloosa on Sunday afternoon.
Just a guess on your part?

If that's true then I feel better. I can't for the life of me figure out if a visit this late helps or not. Do we know if he has ever even been to Auburn? Has all their recruiting been over the phone and/or in MD? I'm sure he's been to Tuscaloosa several times and knows his comfort level there. If he was truly considering Auburn wouldn't he have made it there before now? I mean this is one of the biggest decisions of his young life, and he'll have 3-4 days to make it after leaving. Then again I guess you could turn it around and say a visit to AU could be just for confirmation. I don't know.

I keep hoping for the headline "Cyrus cancels his Auburn visit".

I like the sound of this video. I like our chances and I did not hear him say much about Auburn. He also said he likes the idea of him playing with his brother and playing time is up to him. Tom needs to tell me where in that video from today he hears Auburn as the choice.

Recruiting Insider - Cyrus Kouandjio discusses his college choices
Listenting to the video certainly confirms other posts that this kid has his head screwed on right and sounds like he's getting good advice. His mention of CNS having same characteristics as his father sounds extremely positive, as some of his closest advisors have to be his father and Arie. He made one scary comment relative to The Barn......"they came to talk to me at the right time, right place..." I assume he's referring to the opportunity to play quickly on their OL. I appreciate the video link so as to hear comments directly from the young man.
