I really don't get this idea some posters have that we need (or need to try) to tell recruits that Bama doesn't need you.

What in the blue blazes is that supposed to accomplish? We look tough? Hard-nosed?

Of course Bama needs Cyrus. And 3 or 4 more like him. He would make Bama a better team and we need him to do just that. It's not lowering the dignity of the university or staff to say 'we need ya big fella'. And I bet (don't know) the staff has told him pretty much that.

If Cyrus signs with Bama it's a win for him and Bama!

obviously if CNS and staff are still recruiting him hard at this point in the year then someone in that coaching circle knows for a fact that we need him. He might not make it or break it but the deepth with good OL doesnt hurt a bit

Barners will do anything, tell anything and promise anything to get a player, especially if it is a player Bama wants. They sit around and let other staffs do their evaluations for them and then go after players after they see who is after them......

I wouldn't be the one to ask, but I'll say that we never had him to lose. As much as people have stated he's a Bama lock he never has been. He has taken his search for a university very seriously and has been very methodical in his approach. Luginbill last week predicted him to Auburn as well as someone else (maybe Miles Fombry ?) His visit to Auburn over the weekend seemed to be fine but nothing glowing or earth shattering. The fact this his parents didn't go with him gave me reason to think he's not going to Auburn. Apparently that wasn't the feeling of some on here yesterday. I really don't know, but I sure hope something changed between late yesterday afternoon and this morning. I really want him to line up with his brother at Alabama.

Cyrus is a great match for Bama. Cyrus took it seriously for the whole recruiting process and never cut corners, no trick, no nothing, straight forward. Bama as a program is doing the same thing, no neg recruiting, 100% truthful. Cyrus wants to make the best decision for him, I guess he maybe thinking not only college career, but also pro career. Bama will prepare him the best. Early starting time may sound good, but it could also be bad if a player is not truly game ready. In Bama he will have the chance to compete for the LT spot and start from day 1 if he is truly game ready. If not, it will be better for him to take some time and develop into game ready shape and start dominating from the day he steps in.
Bama players are well coached and have very solid basic technics, and pro teams love it. When Cyrus leaves Bama in 3-4 years, he will be a projected first round player, instead of a player project because Cyrus has the talent, and his "dad" CNS will demand the best of him.

Andrew Bone's latest article quotes Cyrus as saying, "It's a gut feeling for me. I'm more of a feeler than a thinker. It's all about the gut feeling. It's in the air right now." He told this to Scout.com Inside the Auburn Tigers following the official visit. I hope Cyrus's gut is an Alabama fan! Also, I read that Jamie Newberg has said that Cyrus has moved his announcement to noon. Can anyone confirm this?

Are you talking about MM to UGA ?... I just hope they are correct with CK and wrong with JC ...
The prediction of some of those guys are crazy. The experts have a consensus pick, and the player goes somewhere else. Just shows how crazy this game is.

Cyrus Kouandijo is down to 2 schools - AL/AU... teammate Darion Cooper down to 2 schools - Iowa/Mich St... noon decisions tomorrow.
Retweet by Cecil.

His parents don't go with him to AU, but they make his final 2?
