Yep, I too find it hard to believe that the coach is supposedly leaking information. I find it even harder to believe that Cyrus saw what he liked enough in 24 hours to base a huge life decision on.
His parents didn't even go on the trip to Auburn. New mexico and Iowa were our main competition IMO

From everything being said, he is all Bama. Im very confident in our chances, his coach is probably having some fun.
I see what youre saying, and I'm not in panic mode. Just slightly more worried. I find the whole article odd, being that CK and family and coach have been so quiet. I also find it odd that he got a quote from Arie, wouldn't he need permission from our staff to contact a student athelete.

that aside, if its legit then its the first thing we've heard from anyone close regarding the situation, except those with what may or may not be inside info. and well it worries as to what the Aubs could have done in 24 hours, I dont trust them to play by the rules nor should any of us, and well maybe its nothing but who knows.

The coach obviously thinks he could choose the barn. It may just be him trying to build up some excitement or he really may belive that. He does say below that he doesn't know. I don't see it happening from all I have heard.

Recruiting Insider - OT Cyrus Kouandjio down to Alabama, Auburn;DT Darian Cooper down to Iowa, Michigan State; RB Delonte Morton bound for juco instead of Maryland
Kouandjio, an All-Met offensive tackle who is considered one of the nation's top prospects, is down to Southeastern Conference rivals Alabama and Auburn. His older brother, Arie, is a freshman on the Crimson Tide's squad, but McGregor was uncertain whether he Cyrus will join Arie in Tuscaloosa.

"I don't know how it's going to play out," McGregor said. "I was with him for a long time yesterday too --- let's make a decision, get on with life. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he says Auburn tomorrow. But I don't know."

Let me say this, and I firmly believe this (it goes against what I have previously said), if AU lands Cyrus, then you can rest assured that some very wild recruiting tactics were used.

I Cannot shake this bad feeling. Lots of positive feelings coming from AU, granted a lot from Ms. J Lee, and a lot of talk from Bama insiders that Saban does not know of CK's intentions. I know its mainly fear talking, and maybe some estrogen lol, but this feels strangely similiar to B Massie. Can't wait for this to be over.

Before anyone says it I know I take rec too seriously. Its a problem. :)

I'm not going to flip out over what his coach said for the reasons discussed earlier, but admittedly this is not what you want to hear hours before he is going to sign. In the end I still think we get him, but this thing is probably a much closer race than many of us would like to believe right now.

At one time I thought Cyrus-to-'Bama was a massive lock with no other alternative scenarios, but I just cannot see that being the case now. I still think we get him, but honestly if he signed with Auburn tomorrow, while it would be a surprise, I don't think anyone could consider it a shocking decision.

I cant sleep because of the fear of losing this kid to the Barn.
Seriously?

Now, had you said you can't sleep because of Brooklyn Decker, or Jennifer Anniston, or Megan Fox, or Halle Berry ..... I'd understand....... but Cyrus? Really ? (j/k --- get some rest!)

Well, the big day is here............

Hopefully Cryus see what Bama's coaches & Bama Nation can offer for his future. All one has to do is look at what NFL scouts have been saying how prepared Bama's players are coming out of Bama these days. Plus, how well Bama's players have been doing in their classes since Saban's arrival matters to me too. No matter who Cyrus picks in the end that program will have gotten them a great recruit on & off the field. I know this may be kinda of strange, but the fact that Bama could have Brothers playing on the OL together excites me a bunch. Just find that a cool thing, and Bama Nation will have to come up with a cool nickname.
