Retweet by Cecil.
His parents don't go with him to AU, but they make his final 2?

Right more than they have been wrong so far at least although. No, no, no. Don't even remind me. I know, it seems they missed on a few. I was trying to look past those. :eek2:
Lol, I vote that we allow MB and his family to make the right decision, and not worry about message boards.hmmm. MB, please confirm this...

I feel good about getting Cyrus.
CK and AK will never play against each other, even if CK chooses the barn or the barnstormers. They both play on offense, last time i checked. The idea of brothers competing against each other for me is intriguing and kind of bizarre. Didn't have time to research it a lot this morning but did find this case. Notice they were facemasking each other. It would be more apropos to the discussion if Julian had played for Michigan.

Of course you do, as do I. We're both Alabama fans.I feel Bama will be the best place to prepare Cyrus for his Pro Career. I just hope him and his family think the same way.
I am just telling you what I was told. A. Morris and Shell were the top 3 OT's on the board with CK. You also have to realize Saban evaluates differently from these so called experts. Like I said I was shocked! This year has been CRAZY!! I do not know where he is going but I don't think it will be the barn. My gut says Bama.Third? Some have him as high as the top recruit overall, but we have him third for OT? I know Saban really wanted Shell, but I don't see him being higher than Cyrus. I have no idea who to even guess for the second. Seriously.
Semantics.I will make one easy prediction though. In the unlikely (and tragic) event that CK chooses the barn or Iowa, go ahead and write it down that the newspapers will say that "Alabama lost huge O-Line recruit to Auburn (or Iowa)".
Even though:
1) It is impossible to lose something you never had in the first place.
2) The implication by the media to the masses would be that "only Alabama" lost out on the recruit, when in fact every team in America except the school that he chose lost out on him. It always kills me when they focus on only one school that "lost" the kid, when in fact all that really matters is the school that "won" the services of the kid. It's just another dumb attempt on the part of the media to try to get a reaction out of the rival fan base.
Watch for it. Either way, whether Alabama or Auburn "loses" out on the fine prospect.
Sure looks like he and his teammate are announcing at noon tomorrow.I think my post on page 57 was going up just as we were going to page 58, so I don't know if anybody saw it. Maybe you did and you just don't know, but I'll ask again if anybody can confirm that Cyrus has moved his announcement to noon tommorrow?
hey we're on the same team and i'm with ya. it just kills me when the media takes the low road and tries to spin the negative to the rival, instead of just celebrating the positive. For example, if he chooses Alabama, all the articles need to say is that the highly touted prospect chose Alabama and all the other good stuff that goes along with that. Within the article it could mention, that he was also considering Iowa, Auburn, New Mexico, etc. But instead, the media will go down the road of spinning the fact that not only did someone win, but someone lost, and they are praying that it is the rival. I can promise you that the media will be really upset if the young man chooses Iowa, because then they can't pit Alabama and Auburn against one another in the "we won and you lost" scenario that drives the idiots to the blog pages and helps them show advertisers that people respond to their writing. I guess I've just answered my own issue - I'll just stay on this site for recruiting news tomorrow and ignore all the venom spewed out by the al.com family of newspapers. Tidefans is the best place to talk Tide anyway. Roll Tide.Semantics.
If he does commit to AU or Iowa, then we did lose out. We lost the chance to have someone with his talent and abilities to make our team better.
If we don't get CK, I'd say we lost out.
So basically it looks like our 21 commits are our 21 commits? No one is signing with us tommorrow?Having to retract info from yesterday....
not hearing things I like right now
To me this is very good news given the fact that CK's parents didn't make the visit to Auburn. There is no more Iowa - it's Alabama or Auburn.
Twitter / Jamie Newberg: Cyrus Kouandijo is down to ....
A lot of good Alabama people are hearing bad things. His parents not being there may have been a bad thing for UA. I can't see how a school recruited him for three weeks vs a school in the process for years and the other school wins . Just can't see it.To me this is very good news given the fact that CK's parents didn't make the visit to Auburn.
The way it read yes but that may be his teammate that is announcing at noon.I think my post on page 57 was going up just as we were going to page 58, so I don't know if anybody saw it.
