I'm into old Mopar Muscle cars. Here is a couple pics of my 69 Charger R/T I have been working on the last few years. It has a 440 and 727 automatic trans. I sold a 73 Rallye Charger I also had to finance finishing this one. I got a few loose ends to tie up, but should have it ready to hit the road this upcoming spring.

Here is a pic of the 73 Rallye I had.... factory 340 car (replaced with 360), 4 speed. I bought it put new interior in it and a few other things. Mechanically it was in top notch shape...really only needed a new paint job. I sold it to a guy in Houston Texas.

Just sharing another passion I have,

Good looking cars you have there. I've never been into cars that much, but I've dedicated myself to working on my own car (as much as I can) rather than taking it to a shop. It's actually pretty fun working on cars. Thanks for sharing!

I like building and working on computers, and modifying Android phones. I've always enjoyed the newest and latest electronic stuff since I was a kid. I'm that "everyone comes to me to fix their stuff" guy in my family. I don't think I have been home to visit my parents once without having to fix at least one thing, but I enjoy doing it, so it doesn't bother me.

You mean that, after time spent on working and Alabama Football, you actually have time for other hobbies? :)

Golf and shooting would be mine, I guess.

Re: Other than Tide Football....what is ur hobbies?

bamanut_aj, thanks!

RollTideMang, yeah I grew up working on my own cars (never had any 'formal' training) I also worked at 2 different dealership service depts. for about 6 years, but have a different career path now. I did everything on the green Charger myself...including bodywork and paint. I, know what you mean about family, I keep all the cars running in my family, lol.

uafan4life, yeah I just worked on it when I had spare time and money....I guess thats why it took me around 8 years to finish it.

I always wondered why I liked old R/T Dodges, I think I just realized it....R/T....Roll Tide, I guess I figured the connection,.

Nice looking R/T. Did you do the paint or have someone else? Is it a metallic? Single stage or base/clear?

Yes I painted it myself. I painted it with a single stage acrylic urethane since it was a solid color. Had it been metallic, I would have used a base/clear, seeing how it is almost impossible to color sand/buff a single stage metallic.

Thanks. I'm going to be getting my 70 Camaro repainted this spring with a green metallic (original color) and you confirmed what I have heard. I would prefer a single stage since that is what it was born with but since its a metallic everybody says to use base/clear.

jaakRTR: True story. My brother worked bush-hogging weeds for the county one summer when he was in high school.

One of the guys in the crew was borderline...um mentally challenged. Didn't even have a bank account.

This guy really liked the new R/Ts when they first came out. Saved all his money, went down to the dealership, put a big wad of cash on the counter, and said, "I want THAT one."

Paint is drastically different than is was then. I basically had to re-learn how to paint three times before I gave up painting for my current career.

That Charger is gorgeous. Nice work!

I have aspirations to one day own and work on a 1969 Camaro. But that is a ways off.

I guess my hobbies outside Bama football would be woodworking, working on the house, golf, video games and reading.

running and guitar/music would be the biggies. don't have time for much else with the little one around. good thing is she enjoys riding in the jogging stroller and listening to me sing and play.

we are starting to get more into cooking. it gives the wife and i something to do together after the baby goes to sleep at night.
