An interesting point, about the Sooner's strength (rushing D)against Alabama's weakness (rushing the ball). That puts a lot on Ty Simpson's shoulders, but hey, Roll Tide.

It's almost like OK saying "We're going to take away the run game" and Bama is like "Go ahead, we don't have one anyways."

In the preseason, we kept hearing that it was Ty as QB1 because he kept moving the ball to the open receiver for short yardage. After the freeshoes loss, that is exactly how we sustained drives, ate up clock and scored TDs. We got away from that in the last game and I suspect will get back to it Saturday. But the OLine will have to step up.

This game scares me, I'll be honest. Between OU's (accused) propensity for stealing signals and our inability to punish blitzes, our offense could struggle. A shake-up is probably needed for this one. We've gotta do something differently.

If they get consistent pressure on Ty....with us not being to run the ball.....we are in big trouble.

Really need Ty to hit a couple of those big deep shots instead of slightly overthrowing them.

If a team is good enough up front to get pressure on their own, the D can take those shorter routes away and force us to go down field while under durress

That would definitely help. I imagine his chances of connecting improve significantly when he has time to set his feet and make a good throw. They WILL bring the heat on every play until we show we can make them pay for it.
