I think weighting of recent results and the organizational stability is responsible for that. The thing that I don’t like is he outright admits Bama has a better rolling 4 year resume than Texas, but then he proceeds to invent a bunch of reasons why he put Texas #2. He also forgot to mention that CKD BEAT Sark…
But he also said Bama has had the better program over a rolling 4 year period. He contradicted himself. Bama has won the SEC twice in that time and been to the playoffs twice, once to the national championship game. Bama is 1-1 against Texas in that time. I agree that it’s close, but based on his own criteria, Bama should get the nod. He then justified it by saying “Saban isn’t there anymore” as if Bama has been terrible without Saban at the helm.I think weighting of recent results and the organizational stability is responsible for that.
He specifically cited superior resource pool also.
He isn't "inventing" reasons, he is applying the criteria he laid out, only one of which is in Alabama's favor.
