The end is coming for LIV as a major challenger to the PGA Tour. Brooks Koepka -- a 5x Major Tournament winner who left for LIV and somewhere @ 150 million -- has now been reinstated by the Tour. He must pay a fee of 85 million (ouch) but will be immediately eligible to play. The Tour has left the door open for John Rahm, Bryson Dechambeau, and Cameron Smith as they are also Major Tournament winners. Evidently lesser players will have to sit out a minimum of 1 year from their last LIV event.

And we thought CFB players were getting a lot of money!

It's not a fee he has to pay, he will potentially miss out on 50 to 85 million in earnings.

Under the terms, Koepka must make a $5 million charitable contribution to a tour-approved organisation. He will also lose access to 2026 FedEx Cup bonus money, sponsor exemptions to the $20 million signature events, and any equity grants in the PGA Tour for five years.

Based on his previous performance, the financial impact is estimated to be between $50 million and $85 million over that period.

True...misreported earlier on. Still a lot of cash to miss out on.

The big question now is whether all or any of Rahm, DeChambeau, and Cam Smith want to come back. I don't expect C Smith to do so....he's from Australia and LIV is big there and in Asia. Rahm is a Mickelson protege...and Garcia, etc., as a Spaniard, but he''s playing in the baby pool. DeChambeau has one problem: the Saudi's own a majority stake in his YouTube site. Not easy to leave one and keep the other I would imagine.

Major 1st world problems.
