Best case scenario: We're able to run the ball successfully against Ole Miss and we lean on that running game through most of the game. Jalen Milroe manages the game without turning the ball over and throws a couple of touchdown passes. The defense forces a couple of turnovers and also has a NOT. Bama 31 Ole Miss 17

Worst case scenario:
Ole miss basically replicates what Texas did limiting our run game. Milroe gets pressured constantly and throws more interceptions. On defense, we give up a few busted coverage TDs. Ole Miss 38 Bama 21

What I think will happen:
My heart wants the best case scenario to happen and I truly hope it does, but it's going to be mostly the worst case scenario with some best case sprinkled in. Ole Miss 35 Bama 24

Defense gets tired in the 4th like they did vs Texas.....offense continues to put the D in bad positions with turnovers, the dam finally breaks in the 4th after 3 quarters of tight football.

I think this team is a mess, maybe we some how pull this out because they decide to show up, who knows. Too much talking, they need to mash their opponent.

28-17 Ole Miss wins.

I really like the defense, but I think they will wear down and be put in bad situations and just on the field too much against a really good playcaller in Kiffin. He will eventually get them. That's just the nature of modern college football. He has a blueprint from Texas and he will put his own spin on it. I will be happy to eat crow on this prediction.

Hope I am wrong. Will either be glad or mad I am not in Vegas this weekend.

In the least, take the under. At 54.5, I don't think Bama's O is good enough to score much, and I think the D is good enough to keep Ole Miss from scoring more than 30 as well.

Hard to predict a score. Last season we only won by a touchdown with Bryce.

If the team is truly focused with the right mindset, I see a close Bama win.

Crowd needs to be loud. We need momentum at the right times . Get at least 1 turnover, have great punts and kicks, etc. Have 0 or just 1 turnover. Play calling will be really important with Ole Miss’ s fast offense. Our o line needs to let our run game feast.

I can't. Don't know who or where we are.

But something to consider: Ole Miss defense is ranked #66 and USF's is #98 after holding us to just 21. They were near the bottom out of 130 teams the weak before we played them.

BTW, Texas is #22 and MTSU is #93.

How do we make sense of any of this?

I don't think Ole Miss' defense is as good as Texas'. They also have Golding as their DC. That gives me hope that we'll score some points.

I do think Ole Miss' offense is very good, very explosive, and that concerns me. If they can get out to an early lead, it won't be pretty.

OTOH, I'm really hoping we come out with a bad attitude and wanting to rally around Milroe. If we can establish the running game and hit a few long balls to keep their defense honest, then it should be a very interesting game.

This one may come down to a clutch field goal and we have the best kicker in the nation.

34-31, Bama

I'm looking forward to reading @JessN's pick.

I honestly don't know what to think at this point. I could see all three scenarios given in the OP. Bama big, Bama close, Bama bust. I just don't know!

After reading's Jess' Sunday morning recap and belief we'd roll with Simpson as starter, I suspect Jess will pick OM in a close one.

Maybe. My biggest concern is we can't get into a scoring match with them. I guarantee you that is what Kiffin wants and he's probably 100% confident we won't be able to keep up.
