Pictures from my trip to Africa (**new pics added**)

I just got home Saturday night from a family vacation in Kenya, Africa. We went on safaris in five different National Parks. We were really fortunate and had great weather and were able to see every animal we wanted to see. I took about 2,500 pictures and haven't a chance to get through all of them yet, but here are some of my favorites so far. I'll add some more as I get to them.

Wow...looks like a great trip. I've always wanted to go on a safari & I'd love to visit Zanzibar off the coast too. Its always kinda fascinated me.
You've got some fantastic shots. The last few elephant shots, the giraffe and zebra pics are my favorites but all of them are awesome.
Please post more when you can I'd like to see them.

Agree w/ CCat. Great pics! A photo safari like this is on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing them! I like the one w/ 3 elephants best myself, but enjoyed them all.

We went to a chimpanzee sanctuary for abused/rescued chimps.

This guy, and two other baboons jumped in the safari vehicle and stole a package containing a carved giraffe my sister bought for my little cousin.

Outstanding photographs. Love all of them but the Rhino stands out and speaks to me. Our site owner, Brett Young, and his family went to Africa a couple of years ago and he also posted some pics of his trip.

Since this is TideFans, y'all will appreciate the fact that we all took Alabama gear for a picture. We even took our driver a shirt and a couple UA magnets.

Excellent! How long was your flight time to Kenya? In what cities did you connect? Awesome pictures.
Thanks!

On the way there:
2 or so hour flight from Birmingham, AL to Detroit, MI.
2-3 hour layover.
6.5 hour flight to Amsterdam.
Another 3-4 hour layover.
7 hour flight to Nairobi.

From the time we left the last National Park headed home it took us 46 hours to get home including driving/flying/layovers.

7 hour flight from Nairobi to Amsterdam.
8-9 hour layover, but we got out and did a canal cruise of Amsterdam.
10.5 hour flight to Memphis, TN.
2 hour layover.
45 min. flight to Birmingham, AL.
