Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) tells his Dad, T.L. (Sam Elliott) to watch TV and mentions “The View” but T.L. asked “What's The View?”

Tommy says: “A bunch of ****ed-off millionaires b*tching about how much they hate millionaires and Trump and men and you and me and everybody else that they got a bee up their a** about. It's pretty funny.”

T.L. said: “Don’t sound funny”

Tommy said: “Well, it ain’t joke funny. It’s like fart in church funny, you know what I mean?”

At this point, we should all realize for-profit healthcare and for-profit insurance is simply not the answer for the country's healthcare system.

"The big six insurers’ profits have soared along with their revenues. Last year they made $60.7 billion in profits collectively, compared to $16.9 billion in 2010." vs. $1.1 Trillion in revenues. Or ~$5,000 per private insured person per year. So a family of 4 pays $20,000 per year just for the right to have access to some part of the medical system before they spend a single dollar.

And we spend about $13,000 per person per year in actual healthcare expenses. About 25% of the money we spend on healthcare flows through 6 companies.

This system is broken. By design. And we are too feeble (save for one guy lashing out) to do anything about it.
