Wow, recruiting and talent at one time mattered. Now, the ACC champ, top 15 Vandy and #1 team in the country are lower down on the talent meter. Bama has as many 5* as Indiana and Duke has 4* kids combined .

Unless/until they are told they got left out because they aren’t in a conference. It won’t happen. They have no other compelling reason to. Mostly financials. Their brand is as gold as their helmet.

Yes Notre Dame needs to be in a conference, but I would be upset as well when you've been telling everyone the last 5 weeks we are better than Miami then neither of us plays and they jump us, they wanted a ACC team in, the playoff committee is a joke so don't blame Bama

They should have gotten in over ND. But , Notre Dame dropped from ninth to tenth to out of the playoffs and the only data point during that time was a 70- 7 win over Syracuse and a 49-20 win over Stanford. It’s not that Notre Dame is out of the playoffs, it’s the ranking process through the last three weeks that doesn’t make sense.
