Unless he’d want to move to RT, why would he want to come to AL and compete with Proctor?
He most likely has 1 year of eligibility left (did he redshirt?)
Just making a case, IF we brought in a tackle I'd hope theyd have the mindset that they were coming into compete for the best job possible, not just the best available. The oline could use a boost. And fwiw a move to RT may actually boost proctors draft stock as he may have a more dominate season and put up some pretty impressive tape. But thats just me.

Jason Robinson out of California who went to Washington and former recruit who originally committted to CKD has entered the portal. He redshirted this year as a freshman but with connection to coach might want to come here. He is a pure slot type receiver that has lots of wiggle. He lacks size which the one big issue or he would be a much higher rated guy.

“ Robinson is arguably the best pure route runner in the state. He’s a prototype slot receiver who just knows how to get open. He’s quick off the line, can get in and out of his breaks and plays with a high understanding of how to set up a corner to get easy separation. Catches the ball well and will give you yards after contact. Could also be a threat in the return game on punts and kickoffs at the college level. Highly competitive kid who plays with a bit of a chip on his shoulder and will always give you max effort. Will need to continue to add some good weight and strength to his frame to fill out for the physicality of the college game but has the skill set to be a very good player at the next level.” From his recruitment profile
Interesting. Would need to add some size or he'd get jammed into oblivion in the sec but he has time to do that.

The Bama staff is doing a great job with this roster building for next year.
1. Pay and retain our most productive players. I would guess a lot of the players that left
asked for more money and answer was you haven't done anything yet.
2, Build the LOS through recruiting and add a few experienced pieces through the portal.
Experience here is a must. Older guys beat up younger ones.
3. Have or get the right QB.

DJ Fluker comes to mind. Ploughed the road.
I suggested RT because of lack of Speed and technique but I also have not seen any kind of mean streak in him like Fluker. He has kind of been like that big kid that looks the part so you put him in and you hope he gets the attitude to be great on the line but still not there.

I played with a guy in HS who was a "gentle giant." He would block his man 10 yards down the field, put him on his back, then help him up and say: "Sorry 'bout that. Are you okay?" :p

Lineman that played for Bryant years ago said he told them to “knock them down, play through the whistle, help them up (he said “don’t let them rest by laying on the ground”), then look them in eye and tell them “I’ll be right back…””
