Thanks, Rich for your insight. We have all seen that locker room turmoil can derail any team and in most cases goes unnoticed by the fans and the media. For those of you who around then, we had a lot of this during the Dubose, Franchione and Shula tenures. It usually manifest itself when there is a lack of strong team leadership and feeds on itself. I am not implying this is the case in our situation, but even a CNS coached team is not immune to this type behavior. If, in fact it does exist and is not corrected, it will make the Clemson game even tougher.

Couple of notes on this. First, there has not been one iota of “Jalen Haters” here. From what we know he seems to a good young man who’s been a good player. To question who should be playing based on merits, to be critical does not equate to “hating”.

Second, regarding the NC talk, how he performs is critical to that discussion. If we win the NC and it’s apparent we did so because of his improvement, then it will vanish. If, however, we win a NC in spite of his bad performances, the discussion will persist. Simply winning doesn’t make the questions go away.
I don't know what adjustments we'll make. Most critical might be to just commit to running the ball more with our running backs, not qb.

But, I don't think we beat Clemson and then the OU/GA winner without getting much better qb play in the passing game out of that position. In other words, if it resembles LSU, MSU, or the Barn games, we don't get out of the Sugar Bowl with a win.

Here's Alphonse Taylor's tweet about UGA beating AU:

Ugggghhh!!

ALL. WE. HAD. TO. DO. WAS. RUN THE DAMN BALL!!

He's right.....and the missing context is.....WITH THE RUNNING BACKS!!!!

I 100% think we need to make Damien, Bo, and Josh the core of our Offensive gameplan.

If I have to pick something our OL is better at.... I would be pick Run blocking over Pass Blocking. RUN THE BALL with the RB's

BUT....we also HAVE to be able to pass to get teams to back off the LOS and respect both aspects. We gotta have Balance.

I love Jalen. I think Kiffin did a great job last year(minus the Semi) highlighting what he could do best as a TF and covering up what he couldn't.

THIS year Daboll has not done a good job of making things easier on Jalen. He's shown some improvement at times against lesser teams but shown almost no improvement if not regression against the better teams on our schedule.

We've been trying to shove a square peg in a round hole for 12 games and we don't have the time to fix it now.

I don't care about 2018 right now. We don't have a guaranteed shot at a NC in 2018.....We DO have s shot RIGHT NOW with a 'Round Peg' sitting right there on our bench.

I'll will be extremely dissapointed if we don't give Tua a shot. If we fail we fail but at least we TRIED something different.

If we keep doing what we've done all year and especially the last month we WILL lose to Clemson.

Jmho but 'Tua Time' is RIGHT NOW.

OH YEAH toss in a kid that has some cleanup duty, very little real game experience against Clemson. OH YEAH that will work. At this level you need to be able to read make decisions, and run an offense. No matter his talent, he has a ton. His lack of experience would MOST likely be a disaster in a game this big with a team this good. You must walk before you run. Maybe 1 in 100 times would even a very talented QB with such little game experience be able to handle a game of this magnitude. Not saying he would not be good, but the odds are against it. It is not often a young QB could step in at this point and be successful. QB is not our only issue, he cannot play LB or safety or lineman. 1 guy is not going to change that this late in the season.

It's not fair I agree. It's not ideal. But Clemson's Defense are LEGIT MONSTERS. If we operate like we have for the last month with Jalen calling his own number over the RB's and not hitting his WR's consistently we will get WRECKED.

So do you definitely want to get shutout?? Or Do you want to try option B that gives us a Balanced Offense and a fighting chance?

Personally, I'm excited to see what Jalen does in the playoffs. This is a big chance for him against a strong D. He could completely change this conversation woth his play. I hope that with the time off Daboll and Co can come up with a solid game plan. Jalen is probably going to have to make some plays on third down though.

I'm not a fan of playing Tua unless there is something we don't see in practice or it gets really bad with Jalen. I doubt either of those scenarios play out though. If it was a bowl game I wouldn't be opposed to Tua getting a series or a few plays but I don't want that risk in the playoffs.

The fact that we have everything to lose means we have nothing to lose. It does no good to keep a bullet in your holster in this case.

I would be shocked to see Tua take a snap in the Clemson game. I think what happens in that game though will probably determine next seasons QB.

I'd be surprised if Saban made that kind of move. It seems unlike him but he has obviously shown he's willing to adapt to win.
