He is not considering Bama among his finalist. I removed him from the prospect list.

Five-star quarterback Zeke Pike has made his choice, and is ready to announce his decision.

"Zeke has decided to commit now," his father Mark Pike said. "He will make his announcement this Wednesday at 2:15pm at Dixie Heights High School in the auditorium."

Does not matter. He is not everything that they say. He would not fit our scheme anyway.

the auburn boards seem pretty optimistic about this one. if he does choose au, then it will certainly make the QB situation there with Frazier very interesting.

Yeah..I think he goes to Auburn. That would be good for them. The issue then becomes how he will develop as a player and if Gus (if he's still around, which I highly doubt) can design an offense around the specific style sets of Frazier/Pike. Gus's biggest success has come with 3 of the best athletes the conference has seen in the past 20 years. For all intents & purposes, they were all running backs. One just happened to play QB full time. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Good pick up for the barn. My question is, where was he realistically on our board? I know a lot of people will probably downplay his talent since he's now an AU commit, but being rated that high, the kid's got talent. I'm just wondering how he compared to Gunner, Winston, and Lambert.

i would assume relatively high. he was one of the top pro-rate passers in this class.

he basically commmited to *U knowing that he has only 1 QB to beat once he gets there. a pro-style QB in that HS gimmick system may not work out well for him. IMO, this one may not be over. too many offers on his list to be easily ignore.
