Question about Eddie Jackson

Hello everyone, I read a lot of the post on here but this is my first time ever posting. I was curious to know if anybody had any idea why Eddie Jackson isn't starting at corner anymore. Is he injured?

i asked the same question two weeks ago, and was told that he may be still nursing a injury. even with a injury he would be better than cyrus jones. he missed a lot of plays, and did not tackle well at all. seem to be out of position all game. not nearly physical enough. like others i thought we had solved our secondary corner problems after the miss game. its good to see geno smith back.

TIFWIW, I have heard Eddie may the most talented CB we have but has been too much of a liability with the playbook and missing assignments. Eddie will be a great player in time but not picking things up yet.

I was just wondering myself. Was he free-lancing in the DB backfield and NOT doing his assignment as directed because he's just hasn't yet learned the Systematic Process in the game plan?

I seriously doubt it. I think he has potential. He is just struggling right now. I mean HE has a chance next year to be real good. He just need time in the system. I just don't understand why everyone is so interested in him? Just because someone played one or two good games, doesn't mean he got the job right. We have to trust the coach and let him do his job. Lot of folks are hard on Cyrus Jones, but he has held his own the last few games, and we continue to sit here and expect them to play perfect game each time. We gotta cut them a little break. I mean if the scoring is less than 10 points each game.. obviously, we're doing something right as defense.

Thanks for the link, that is what I was thinking was the problem.

It really makes you respect the freshman who do start almost every game ..like OJ and Robinson. And TJ..Cooper last year. They all must really work hard to know all the ins and outs.

Folks aren't not trusting Coach Saban or Kirby. Personally, I started wondering about him after he disappeared. The same goes for Bradley Sylve. We found out that both were injured, and Eddie slacked off.

Eddie played well and then went away without any real announcement of his injury. Folks started wondering where he went. That is all. No one is questioning Saban or Smart about playing CBs.

Thanks BamaLuver for the link, it does explain a lot but me and my buddy have been screaming for weeks for this kid to play. I don't even remember him playing at all the past few weeks.
