Question about yellow/green helmet covers

I have seen these in a couple of the pictures of the practices so far. Does anyone know what they mean? No-contact or injured players?

Used to denote different teams during practice/scrimmages.

They use them mainly for special teams when you have offense and defensive players are on the same team. Since they have different colored jerseys, something (helmet covers) has to be used to identify a certain team.

Yes...Bino returned a punt...or maybe a kickoff...on Saturday at the scrimmage.

IF I remember correctly, he broke it off for about 50 yards up the east sideline.

Its a common misconception that these yellow helmet covers are used to tell whos on which team in practice. In reality, these helmet covers were invented by Urban Meyer. They are worn by players to give him praise.
