My son (13) and I got wet. Very wet. But the temperature was warm, so we were not cold AND wet. It was all made better because of the awesomeness of the experience. Missouri is an amazing place, and we have been treated exceptionally well by the Missouri fans.
After the weather delay, we came back to our hotel with some friends who fortunately had parked on campus, and watched the second half in the hotel lobby with some awesome Missouri fans.
I hate the way the game ended, with the Missouri player getting hurt. It put a damper on what otherwise had been a very hard fought and well-played game, on both sides.
Of the Missouri fans I have talked to, all were in awe of Alabama and especially our fans. 100% of the folks I encountered told me that Alabama were by far the best of the SEC fans to date. We definitely travel well. The worst SEC fans they have encountered are Georgia fans. I have no particular problem with Georgia, but that is what they all said.
All in all it has been an awesome experience, and our last meal (for now) on this rainy Columbia evening will be Shakespeare's pizza, consumed in front of our hotel room TV, while watching the other SEC games.
