After reading Les Miles' proclamation that "I don't read books" in his press conference leading up to the Bama game, I decided to see what Leslie had to say this week in the post-mortem.

I found these goodies:

Q: On if he worries that throwing interceptions can become a self-fulfilling prophecy...
A: “I don’t know that anyone on my team knows what a self fulfilling prophecy is. If they do, I hope that they take it in later in their years. I don’t want to define that too well for anybody at this point.”

Q: On if the team employs a sports psychologist and if they ever use him...
A: “We have a sports psychologist. With Cable’s recommendation, I’ve entered into that myself. I don’t think that a clinical issue is at hand. I think it’s just common sense that has to take place."

When LSU hired Miles, JessN commented that we'd be getting fun quotes and press conferences for years to come. He was right. Does that make it a self-fulfilling prophecy?

What? I can't even follow what he's trying to say...

i watched his press conference for the first time ever last monday...most of the time he makes no sense....makes it a little easier to see why lsu fans are so bitter/mad/jealous....that we have Coach Saban.

I think most college football head coaches view pressers with a mixture of frustration, boredom, and agony. Some respond with anger, some with laconic cliche's, and a few like CLM with off-the-wall comments for the pure joy of watching college-educated men and women scribble stupid-sounding things in notebooks. And report them.

I like it. It keeps the weekly CFB news a bit more interesting.

Translation: "I have no idea what they are asking me, so just wing-it."
Personally, I can't blame him. I don't really understand the question either. How is predicting Lee would throw some INTs a self-fulfilling prophecy? Predicting that he would throw INTs didn't cause him to throw them. Trying to make something out of nothing did. That's like saying Alabama will win the NC because they have 12 times before. It doesn't work like that. Although LM's rambling did make me laugh.

What was it that Tracy Wolfson asked the Georgia HC, something about his QB or his teams body language? Really STUPID.

On Saturday morning I was listening to some radio talk show and one idiot said "if Clemson is interested in Tuberville it will make Auburn think twice about firing him." I thought "WHAAAAAAT?" Then the side-kick said, "that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard." I agreed.
