Just another example of how last year's class will continue to pay huge dividends. The best players want to play with the best and last year's class will continue to fuel our recruiting efforts for the next several years. Think USC after Pete Carroll showed up.

"He is a great blocker and should help open up runs for me," Richardson said. "Hopefully I can take some attention off him, too, with defenders trying to stop the run. With Julio, myself and Star Jackson at quarterback, with his dual-threat skills, it is going to be hard to key on anyone."

Aside from just his dynamic receiving skills, the ESPN 150 Watch List prospect also acknowledged he likes the fact that Jones is a hard worker like himself and is committed to winning championships at Alabama.
With the bolded part especially along with the rest of this article, it does get hard to be patient to see all of these guys together. I know 09 will probably be a bit of an adjustment year offensively as we'll need a bunch of youngsters to step up (freshmen and sophomore alike), but the weapons we'll have on offense will be sick and tough for anyone to key in on. I mean Star does have great dual threat abilities and the ability to be an awesome pocket passer as well (but he looks special when he rolls out of the pocket and throws on the run, and due to that ability he will be a big time focus of defenses). Trent or Ingram or Grant or whoever at RB, I just know we're gonna be loaded and especially talented at the position. A talented offensive line once again, could be great if Andre stays. Julio, BJ, etc at WR. Its just gonna be a supremely talented offense and the defense is gonna be sick by then as well.

FoxSouth (using Rivals.com's notes) Miami had Trent Richardson in the mix for players getting a possible fifth star.

Holding approximately 25 scholarship offers Trent Richardson is not only one of the best runningbacks in Florida, but in the nation. Last year he rushed for 1,377 yards and 15 touchdowns in only seven games. Standing at 5'11" and 210 pounds, he is an every down type player who has both great speed and power. He finished 5th in state at the 100-meter dash and had a personal best time of 10.5 during the year. He has legitimate 4.4 speed that has college coaches across the country drooling, but those coaches are out of luck. Trent has committed to Alabama.
A full year should get him that fifth Star. :BigA:
