RE: "Bama's Recent Success"
This is not intended to start a controversy. It is intended to start a discussion.
I recently read a post that stated that Alabama has neglected basketball, and that this neglect was surprising/amazing/galling, especially in light of Bama's recent success in basketball. In other words, the poster seemed to think that the "recent success" should be enough to make basketball a priority.
In light of this, I started thinking about Alabama's success in basketball.

Now, the point of this is not to bash Mark Gottfried. The point of my post is this: What will it take to get Alabama fans to pay attention to basketball, given that what Wimp did in the 1980s didn't affect that change? In other words, do you think the "recent success" in basketball should affect a positive change, given that Wimp's (and C.M.'s, for that matter) success didn't get it done? Thoughts?
