Oh yes Tate ratledge is listed at 6’6 322 LBs. He looks like future 1st round pick. On film he has great feet, he’s technically sound in terms of pass blocking. He’s a natural OL the right things come easy to him. Even against lesser talent he stays true to his technique.

Sooooo...interesting news on Rutledge. Coach Kelly traveled to Rome, GA to visit with Tate Rutledge this morning, and when he arrived, he was greeted by Rutledge's head coach. His head coach stated that he wasn't allowing visitors today and that Rutledge was visiting UGA this weekend. After this weekend if Rutledge decides to wait until February to sign, then he would allow visitors to see him. Recruiting is a crazy game....
Interesting. I have not kept up much with Tate Rutledge. Is he at Rome High School? I know their head football coach, Coach Reid. I used to work with him but have not seen him in many years. He is a piece of work, but he was always nice to me.

I read on another website that Darnell Washington was not going to announce until January? I was hoping he'd sign in December. I hope Darnell is truthful with Saban about his plans. Not many spots left after Dec. 18-20. We really need him.
If this is true, Alabama and every other school not named Georgia should openly state that they will never accept another player from that school. The school would lose players, then the head coach would get fired.
Need him or not, you don't hold a scholly for a TE who will likely pick another school. Let him go.
It is always best to take the high road in this game. Next think you know Trevor Lawrence's cousin is at the program years later as the #1 recruit in the nation. Just gotta go with the flow really.

I just googled Tate's name, and he plays at the private school in Rome, The Darlington School. So, it is not Rome High after all. I don't know the coach at Darlington. Maybe the player did ask him to do it, who knows. Just seems like they could have notified the coaches who had planned to come visit.
Alabama is very much in it for Washington and will hold a spot for him. The belief is that he will sign during the early period or at least let the schools know and will announce at the Army All American game. He's assumed to be all Georgia, but Alabama has done a great with him down the stretch. Washington has a gf and a baby. He wants a school who will have a plan for all them....he was very impressed with Alabama's plan for them.
The Coach may have been saying this on his own to give the "home" team the advantage...
Well, you don't know what the player tells Coach Saban in a one on one. If he does what he said he would do, then you have a solid guy. If he doesn't, then you dodged a bullet in regards to character.
