I haven't found a link yet but I have Chase Goodbread on Twitter (I think he's a writer for tidesports) and he says "Rolando McClain calls 1:30 pm press conference to announce his decision."

So we should be finding out in an hour what Rolo is going to do. My guess is that he is going to enter the draft. But we'll see.

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

i still believe there's a chance he'll stay. He's been so quiet about it compared to others turning pro. Plus, a chance to play a full season with Hightower? I'm still holdin out hope...........

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

His draft stock will never be higher. Hard to top a season where you win the Butkus, SEC, and national championship.

I'd love to see him stay, but its probably in his best personal interests to forego his senior year and enter the NFL. Just ask Sam Bradford...

I think that it would be a poor business decision to stay another year, but that's not all that goes into it. That said, 85% chance that he goes pro and I wish him the best.

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

I don't think he'd call a PC to stay.

Another reason juniors may leaving is the NFL/players contract is being negotioated. There is a chance rookies may lose some guaranteed money they get now. Not sure all the details, but I understand the rules now are better for rookies than they are expected to be with the new contract.

I hope he goes pro. My worst nightmare for him would be that he came back and the "football gods" were having a bad day and something happen such as an injury that would alter his career.

His stock cannot get any higher. He cannot beat a 14-0 season, butkus award winner and winning a national title in the same year. I hope he goes.

You are correct in that. However, I might let out a small yelp of excitement if he stays.

If he does stay and you work at Marshall Space Flight Center and you hear me then I apologize for interrupting your rocket building with my shouts of excitement.

Tim Tebow didn't call a press conference to stay.

Good points about the NFL contracts also.

I'm 99.9% sure he's going pro. If he asked me that's what I'd recommend to him. I hope I'm wrong. We're sure gonna miss him.
