Rolando McClain will be going PRO

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

Here's hoping for a fantastic NFL career for McClain. Any team will be lucky to draft him.

I'm glad for him. I will be more interested in watching NFL comes for the coming years. Watching the playoffs this weekend I saw Jarret Johnson and Evan Mathis and didn't realize they have been out for 7 and 5 years respectively. Nice to have the Bama connection on Sundays.

A credit to Jarret Johnson... he's been on that Raven's defense his entire career.

It sucks to see Ro go but you can hardly blame him, he's a sure fire top 15 pick IMHO and that's something you just can't pass up. I certainly wish him all the best on the next level and am certainly thrilled to have seen him play in a Crimson jersey, he was/is a call act all the way and a terrific representative of the University. Good luck Ro!!! :BigA:

I'm proud to say he's from my area in Alabama. He was a great leader, and he will be awesome in the NFL. Good luck Ro and God Bless you!

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

Ro will be devensive rookie of the year...kinda like another recent Alabama LB with a sweet nickname. DeMeco.

Very little left for him to accomplish at the collegiate level. Great job. Thanks for everything and good luck in the future even though I doubt he will have a great deal of need for luck.

They grow up fast don't they?

It's incredible how big he's gotten while not losing any speed.

Re: McClain holding presser at 1:30pm

Congratulations to Rolando and his family for this life changing decision today. I would never go as far to put one player above the team when talking about our path to a championship, but I think it is fair to say that McClain personified the blood, sweat, and tears...the dedication and leadership which brought us back to the top of the football world.

I think decades from now we will look back at McClain's part in Alabama history similar to that of another great linebacker, Lee Roy Jordan. He captained a Bama team that reasserted the program on the national scene and went on win multiple titles in Dallas during his NFL career.
