Roll Call: Where is everyone from?

Born in Knoxville, when my dad was teaching ROTC at UT. However, the family moved home to Anniston, AL when I was 4, and I graduated from Anniston High and Alabama, with a post graduate teaching degree from Jax State. Moved to Louisville, KY in 1973 because of a job, and have been here ever since, but have always planned to retire back to Alabama.

Live in Katy, Texas - 20 miles West of Downtown Houston on I - 10. Born and raised in Mobile. Saw the glory years of BAMA football in 61 to 66 as an undergratuate. Saw Joe Namath as a freshman (when freshmen were not eligible) destroy the Tulane Frosh one afternoon and went home and wrote my father (obviously before e mail and cell phones) and said we have a kid from Beaver Falls, Pa. that will be an All American before he finishes here. Little did I know !!!! Graduated from UA, comissioned an Army 2nd Lt., and went across the big pond and did my duty in South East Asia. Upon seperating from the service in Virginia, I took a job in Houston for $50.00 more a month over a job in Mobile, a decision I have grown to regret. "How I miss those green, green fields of Home", and "Sweet Home Alabama." Have moved around from Houston, to Donaldsonville, La., to Houston, to Nashville, to Greenville, Ms., and finally back to Houston (Katy). Just can't seem to find my way back to BAMA. ROLL TIDE ROLL

Gorgas or Miller power plant? I have been to both.
Started my industrial working career at Gorgas. Spent 15 years there and then moved to Miller and spent a little over 5 years there. Gave up the power company a little over 2 years ago for better pay at an aluminum press plant in North B`ham.

Born and raised in Russellville,Al moved to Belmont MS for four years when I got married then in 2001 built a new house and came back home.

Born in Huntsville, raised in Cave Springs just outside of Owens Cross Roads. Lived there till 12 , then moved to the Chattanooga TN. area where I still reside 29 years later. Live in Rossville, GA. just south of Chattanooga.

You can take the boy out of Alabama but you can't take Alabama out of the boy.
