I would have thought they would have given him another year.

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3684640"]Ron Prince won't return as Kansas State Wildcats coach in 2009 - ESPN[/ame]

Tubs wants no part of the Big 12. He could have taken the A&M gig if he wanted to go that route. My guess is he stays at Barn U.

Wow. Coaches are starting to drop like flies.

The Big 12 North (KU, KSU, MIZZOU, Nbraska, CU) is considerably weaker than the South (OK, UT, TT, TA&M, OK State) , so it might iterest Tubs more than Tex AM.

You know, seriously, less than 3 years? I assume there were some behind-the-scene things that prompted this?

Yea, Coach Fraud's chomping at the bits to get his "real dream job" on this one. Probably got the '67 Chevy station wagon loaded up and ready to go, maybe even on his out there. Knows he'll never have see us if he is hiding out there.

As much as I despise Dennis, KState would probably be a good fit for both. He is from Kansas which could be a plus. The Big 12 North is not a very strong division, but he would still have to play the big boys from the South division. IMO KState's expectations would be to be competitive and win 7-9 games a year and an occasional bowl, he might be able to do that. Although I had rather see him back at Pittsburg State home of the Gorillas where he started.

Breaking news, per Yahoo Sports and Rivals: TCU coach Gary Patterson is apparently going to K State. Talk about moving fast.

Wow. Just wow.
Wow is right.

I think that is a good hire. Patterson, along with Pelini, just might bring some defense to the Big XII now. It will be interesting to see how this transpires over the next few years.

And wouldn't it be great to see Frannochio as a GA on his staff.
:eek2:
