Roy Kramer, who served as the sixth commissioner of the Southeastern Conference as well as athletics director at Vanderbilt University, passed away Thursday at the age of 96.

In all seriousness, a large figure in the history of the SEC. I actually already thought he’d passed. Condolences to his family.

Maybe so. but Kramer retired in 2002. Slive was head of the SEC. If Saban drove B’ham to chew someone out, Slive was most likely getting the earful.
