Heard Kevin Scarbinsky interviewed on local radio in the Shoals area today. Scab indicated that he had recently done an interview with Lance Thompson and asked Lance about the UA / UF matchup in the championship game. LT was quoted as saying that losses like the one to UF last year absolutely eat Nick Saban up inside. LT said, "I don't know what his record is in rematches, but you should look it up. He would work non-stop all year to get back at the teams that beat him in their previous meeting."
Well, Scarbinsky did look it up, and I think I understood him to say the following:
When Saban arrived at LSU, he was beaten in back-to-back years by Spurrier at Florida. Since that instance, Saban has NEVER lost to a team twice in successive meetings. The record, counting that second Florida defeat, stands at 13-1 for Saban getting revenge.
Here's hoping 14 in a row comes tomorrow!
