I feel terrible for her that she allowed this to happen to herself. If Alabama loses, a lot of Alabama fans will remember this forever.
You are correct that some over the top fans will look for something/someone to blame. If OSU beats Bama it won't be because of her tweet. OSU has a great football team and is coached well regardless of how many games they have played or not played. People thought I was crazy a couple of weeks ago when I said I believe OSU would give Clemson all they wanted. I never imagine it would have been as lopsided as it turned out. If Bama cant beat OSU for whatever reason we aren't National Champions....simple as that in my book.

Yes she should know better and I would never have tweeted that. But if you follow her on Twitter, she is an outspoken fan of Bama football. She tweets the same things that most fans do on Twitter. If it was anyone else other than Saban’s daughter most would have laughed and moved on. I am pretty sure I saw a lot of posts on here that said the same thing. Just silly to have such an uproar on this.
She speaks her mind frequently on many topics.....But she takes a lot of crap from fans from different teams and I have also seen Bama fans take a shot at her.

Here's my opinion:

Firstly, I think posting on twitter about anything even remotely controversial (aka "having an opinion") is pretty stupid by everybody who has a twitter account. I don't need to know everybody's every waking thought or clueless snarky "insight" into every topic every microsecond of every day. ... and them thinking that I care about their opinions every waking moment of my life has created millions of megalomaniac (and not just in the political world).

Secondly, if people want to post their opinions/thoughts/clueless insights that's their prerogative. This cancel culture over every freaking thing is going to be the death of us all.

Thirdly, posting bulletin board material by anyone even tangentially affiliated with UA is dumb.

Fourthly, there's this from Ryan Day back in September talking smack about Michigan : "Ohio State coach Ryan Day reportedly told his team in early August that arch-rival Michigan better hope for a mercy rule because the Buckeyes are going to “hang 100 on them."

Of course Day and his buckeyes got halfway there so sort of backed it up.

Nothing Setas said harmed anyone. How could it? IT'S A TWITTER POST FOR FREAKING SAKE! I refer you back to my post when Coach Saban got Covid about it being OK to make a joke.

We gotta stop worrying about what people post on Twitter. It's driving us - as a society - insane. Insane people make rash and illogical decisions. We don't want that.
Unfortunately we live in the age of the easily offended..........it is what it is

I can't blame OSU if they come out with a chip on their shoulder.

People doubted them all 1/2 season. I don't even see them as an underdog.

The Tide just needs to focus and be ready.
People doubted because they struggled against B1G 10 competition and only played 5 games...

I believe Coach Saban's daughter was adopted by Coach and Mrs. Terry.
Both of his kids are adopted. Nicholas is just like Nick and they are super close. The fact both of his kids are close to Coach and his wife speak volumes about how much he loves his kids and will do anything for them.

While Nick's daughter spoke what many of us were thinking, I wish she hadn't post that and now it's going to be distraction for a while. So, it's smart for her to deactivate until after the championship game.

I don't see how OSU can use her comment as a bullentin board given how OSU had rules passed for them all season long and etc. OSU can only be emotional for so long, but eventually they will make mistakes... Saban has spoken on that many time. I can't remember exactly but a team that alabama played in playoff took personal to what was said about them, and they were emotional but made so many mistakes in the game.

Not the OP but I think you misread the intention behind that post - I read it as a rebuttal against the (assumed tongue-in-cheek) comment about certain behaviors 'skipping a generation' (as in, genetics).
You are correct. I apologize OldNavyTider. I was scrolling while cooling down after a workout and just mindlessly reacted. I totally misread the exchange. Thank you for pointing it out.

Classic thinking out loud. And, everyone has done it at times. But, the young woman apologized, and there’s not much to say after that. Except maybe, stay off social media, and don’t make judgments not based on facts.
