Comedian and actress Jan Hooks died on Thursday, a representative told NBC News. She was 57.

Hooks was a regular player on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1991 and continued to appear on the show in cameos until 1994. Her best-known character was Candy Sweeney of the Sweeney Sisters with Nora Dunn, and she was praised for her memorable impressions of many A-List celebrities and politicians, including Hillary Clinton, Nancy Reagan, Jodie Foster and Sinead O'Connor.

She was kind of hawt in her younger days.

Yes she was a very funny lady.

RIP Jan.
She kinda was.

The first thing I ever saw her in besides SNL was the movie Wildcats. She played Goldie Hawn's ex-husband's girlfriend. I was surprised how attractive she was. On SNL, she was always made up to look somewhat ridiculous.

IMO, Phil Hartman was one of the best comedic actors who ever lived. It was a tragedy he was taken so young. He was great on SNL and News Radio. Jon Lovitz was great on SNL, but hasn't done much since that is really in his wheelhouse. Both were absolutely fearless comedians.
