What Can I Expect (View & Fans) From The Seating In The "N4" Section Of Bryant-Denny Stadium. I Have Four Tickets For The Hawaii Game and Two For The Vandy Game. I Will Be Bring My Wife And Kids (10 & 14) To The Hawaii Game And My Father (Life Long Bama Fan OF 66 Years) To The Vandy Game. None Of Them Have Ever Set Foot Inside Of An Alabama Stadium. And This Will Only Be The Second Game I Have Ever Attended. :cool2: My First Game Was Two Years Ago When Alabama Open The Season At Legion Field Against South Florida And Won!
Well I'm Really Excited And Excited For My Family. We Are So There No Matter What!! I Guess It Does Not Matter What The Seating, Area Or The Fans Will Be Like. Just Wanted A Little Heads Up. I Also Know The Seats Are Not The Best Seats, But Heck Me And The Family Will Be In A Newly Renovated Bryant-Denny Stadium Watching Our First Bama Game Ever Together!!! That Will Be Special! :biggrin2: :biggrin2: I Appreciate Any Advice From You Pro's.

Also I Would Like To Take The Family Around And Show Them Some Of the Bama Tradition. I Have A Few Places In Mind, But Could Use Some Of Your Suggestions :p_blank: You Know "Just To Say I've Been There". Oh, Oh, What Radio Station To Listen To While At The Game? I Want To Here Ole Eli !!! Thanks Guys !!! RTR!!!

Let's see:

1. The new plaza (of course) :)

2. The Strip

3. The Quad "Pre-Game Activities and Autograph Opportunities" All Day Saturday

4. The New $200,000.000 Fountain at the Ferguson Center

5. The Elephant Stomp " The MDB marches to the stadium from the Quad"

6. Dreamland's BBQ

7. Stop by The new Steak-House on the Strip, "12", to listen to Stabler and Eli's radio show

8. Check out the Bryant Museum

9. Check out The renovated Coleman Coliseum

Be sure to get there early Saturday so you guys can see everything!

If I think of anything else, I will let you know!

Crimson Grin,
It is exciting to hear this will be your first game in Tuscaloosa with your own children and then your Dad the following weekend. You will create some great memories for a lifetime.
The most important thing is to get there early. I would plan to be parked (and pay special attention to the announcements coming up in a couple of days) and on the Quad early. I would say by noon for the 6:00 game. I would suggest centering all of your family activities on campus. Since this is your first game, I would stay on campus since game day traffic can be challenging.
Spend some time on the Quad soaking up the atmosphere. There will be a Supe Store tent on the Quad with all the Bama items you can imagine. There will be many family things there to do and eat on the Quad -there is a Blackened Ribeye Steak sandwich that is excellent. Walk around the campus. See the names, handprints and footprints of previous Bama captions around Denny Chimes. Visit the Bryant Museum. See the new plaza at the stadium. Watch the Walk of Champions as the team enters the stadium.

When you are in the stadium with your children for their first game and the team comes on the field with the Million Dollar Band playing Yea Alabama, give them a big hug and tell them how proud you are of them. Tell them how glad you are that you were able to share this moment together. When you are gone, they will remember that special moment and treasure it.

This is Alabama Football. It is special.

Not bad seating in my opinion. As mentioned, can see the plays develop. The only time I sat in the section was 2003 Bama Vs. Arkansas double OT game that we lost. Shauds long runs were to the South endzone, I could see the holes open up way before he hit them.

It was the first game for my son (12 at the time). Will never forget when we walked through the tunnels to go to our seats and he saw the field for the first time. "Wow!" was all he could say. The game was delayed for about an hour due to a bad rainstorm. The tunnels were so packed we couldn't get back in them and we got drenched. The stadium was still rocking. Everyone was doing the wave. About a third of the way through the storm, I asked my son if he was okay. He said "This is the best time of my life". He's been hooked ever since.

He and I will be at the Hawaii game as well. Hope your kids enjoy their first game as much as my son did. We have been to many more games since then, but that first one stands out more then any.

RDT!

I remember that game, I got soaked!

I remember that game, I got soaked!

No doubt. We were in the first row by a drain. The water got almost up to the bottom of our seats.

The women that decided to wear white to that game ended up shnowing more than they bargained for. Hmm...maybe that's why my son enjoyed it so much...

Endzone seats are great as long as you're at least 15-20 rows up. Any lower than that and it's hard to see the other end of the field.

Yes he did capitalize every word. :eek2: My sister does that too sometimes and it gets on my nerves. Seriously though....she does.

Apparently, this will no longer happen. My MDB roomate informed me that they will no longer march to the stadium. Instead, the band will form up on the steps of the new expansion and warm up there.

The details are iffy right now, but from what I've heard around the band:

1) The band will play on the steps at the entrance of the plaza.

2) The team will pull up in their buses at the front of the plaza and walk down the plaza towards the band to get to their lockers.

3) Fans can line up at the edge of the championship walk as the players make their way to the lockers.

I don't really have anything to add except this, and it's purely personal taste. I don't know how old your kids are, but with the kids, I'd park it on the Quad, take a cooler of food and drinks, a football, chairs, all you need to set up camp. Let the kids have their fun on the Quad with all the activities. Soak it all in. Plus, you don't have to haul them around all over campus.

With your Pops, I'd take in all the other stuff....the museum, etc. provided he's able to get around. Go to Gallette's and a get a Yellowhammer and check out the coeds! ;)

Do you know how long before kickoff this will occur? The elephant stomp was an hour before kickoff last season, and the team was already suited up for pregame warmups by the time I found my seat.
