Coach Grant didn't COY? He was the public consensus. Florida was predicted to win the conference. Bama was expected to finish what, 3rd in the West?

Complete crap!!! No Mitchell, Releford, or Hillman on the all defense team. Mitchell tied for 1st in steals. Releford and Hillman were 4 and 5.

"Alabama leads the SEC in many defensive categories, including points allowed per game (58.8). That's the lowest total in the SEC since the adoption of the shot clock in 1985-86. The Tide also ranks third in the nation in field-goal percentage defense (.379).

But South Carolina center Sam Muldrow was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and not a single Alabama player was named to the SEC All-Defensive team.

"That's because we're a team defense," Green said. "We don't have individuals.

"We have each others' backs. We have a great help side and just the will and want-to.""

Well there you go. I agree with most of you on here about being snubbed on All-SEC defensive players, but I'll defer to coach. Classy answer. Now just go shut 'em up in ATL, Bama.
