I had surgery on my jaw and was wired shut for about 6 weeks. Everything I ate had to go thru the blender.

If he was ruled out on Saturday due to illness, then I get it, but to rule him 48 hours before the game due to illness seems a little strange.

If it is flu, even with Tamiflu administered in the first 72 hours, it still must run its course. It only shortens the duration of the symptoms. So even in the best situation you are talking 5-7 days.

Novovirus is awful. Similar in symptoms to the flu but it wipes out digestive system. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, low grade fever and headache. Plus, like the flu, it is highly contagious. Last fall, within 48 hours, my mother in law, wife, daughter and myself all came down with it. It takes at least 48-72 to run its course. Then you feel wiped out for days afterwards

If Kelby or LT are out with flu or novovirus, the last thing you want is them around the team. It can spread like wildfire.

Norovirus is one of the most contagious bugs known. It takes about 10 virions to cause and infection and can live on environmental surfaces for up to two weeks! And then spreads like gasoline on fire.

It’s not just at the end of the season, we have had starters and key rotational backups out since the first game. I hear about injuries with a lot of programs, but they never mention Bama on their national TV injury reports. It seems like we are the most injured team in CFB.

No, no you can’t. In fact when I broke my jaw, they wouldn’t allow me to do anything strenuous. When you strain , you naturally tighten your jaw muscles.
