Tired of hearing so call Bama fans not giving our team any support or should I say the benefit of the doubt that we can go all the way to Atlanta. I know we don't the depth like the rest of the SEC but all you need are 22 (excluding specai teams) healthy players on each Saturday to do it.

Our schedule is a piece of cake compare to past years. Let's don't forget that CMS record could have been better if he had more time to prepare for the games, we should have won more than 4 games!!!!

Now with everything in place with his staff and players that we didn't have playing last year and incoming Freshmans that can make an instant impact, how can anybody who so call follows the "Program" says that we have no chance. That kind of talk are for losers, upcomng programs and most of all, Auburn Fans!!!

Whatever happens, happens....
But at least have little faith in our team.
Some of us act like we have guys on our team who never played in Div.1 game before. This is BAMA Football!! If you can't take the heat be an Auburn fan then...expectations are much, much, much less there!!!!

Roll Tide Baby!!!

I don't think it's the Bama fan base being negative so much as they are seeing things a little more realistically this season...and, that's good.

We do have an easier schedule, but reality is, if we suffer even one or two major injuries, we don't have the depth that will be needed to be able to bounce right back up.

I don't like negativity, and I can see Bama being a surprise team next season. But, reality tells me to expect about 6 or seven wins.

Take for instance, our basketball team. They were expected to do so well, last season, but ended up dissapointing many.

This season, everyone knew we may not be that good due to some NBA defections, so when we were doing bad, most fans had expected it, anyway. But, when they made it to the Elite 8, we were in for a wonderful surprise!

I think this will apply to football this season. If we temper our enthusiasm with some reality, we won't be so negative should the Tide lose some games due to lack of depth or injuries. Should we win 'em all, well, we can be most happy we have beaten the odds.

Am I saying be negative or doubt Bama's abilitites? God forbid, no! Cheer Bama on like they are going to win every game! But, should they lose some, just remember we are thin this season and the NCAA sanctions will play a role.

i'm with ya, cali. ROLL TIDE!!!

this team is going to shock a lot of people.

You make a good point TiderinMiss...but the only team that will give us any real problems will be LSU. Tenn and Auburn there both living on borrowed time.

It's going to come down to coaching. Shula has got the talent on this team to go all the way, it's up to the coaches, I wasn't so impress with them last year. The real pressure is on Coach Shula.

To be honest we had better talent last year than our record......You can blame anything you want on the reasons, but we underachieved greatly for many reasons.I will go with any you wish, but the talent level has declined. For example, A O , J S ,and A C left early. B D left school, and C J too. W B our best OL in my opinion suffered a terrible injury....I just hope he can come back and play @ 90% of what he was last year( that's still better than any other OL we have back. Also, A C may not be able to play yet. Also, with the NCNAZI's retrictions on schollies these losses can not be made up. I love the Tide but say what you want we need great coaching and injury luck to win better than 7 next year.

Holy crap....my head almost exploded.

this supposed easy schedule we have still includes the likes of MSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, UT and South Carolina. To say that ANY year is 'easy' just isn't true. There are still 7 SEC teams who would love nothing more than to beat Alabama, and will try to bring their A-games against a 'down' Alabama team. Yeah, yeah, we play West whoever and whoever state, but that doesn't take away from the fact that we have those SEC teams. We also play 7 or 8 games AGAIN this year before we get a break, I think. Not exactly what a thin team needs.

I agree with AJ, there are no easy SEC schedules. We need to be extremely lucky regarding injuries, but after last season, we're due some good luck.

I think Alabama has had two losing seasons in the past four years. This "so-called" Bama fan hopes for a winning season this year.

Texas A&M's excuse for 2004: "we would have had a winning season, but we ran out of bail money."

Love your optimism. I see you are in sales and you need to have a lot of optimism.

As for expectations, we are a lot more realistic than the cow college (case in point their optimism of season early last year).

Optimism is good. Doom and gloom is bad.

Roll Tide Baby! (please!!!!)

Ok I suppose he is right. All those years as a kid eating Golden Flake chips on Suns cause Bear did, all the games I have seen and traveled to see. All those expensive pencil sketches and prints all over my office and home.. Yep, looking back on my guarded optimism for next year has made me realize I am not the Tide fan I thought I was. I suppose now it is time for one of my kids to actually be able to wear anything blue and orange. Ok own anything blue or orange. I will of course have to trade in one of my vehicles because we have a red Suburban and a white Acura. I also am going to have to hand in my MBNA Alabama credit cards. Maybe I can auction off all my prints to pay for my kids tuition to aubarn.. Oh, sorry Auburn...
Thnx Cali for opening my eyes !

I guess the bottom line is that each Bama Fan has a different way of supporting our team. All I'm saying is that don't count out this season because of last year's record and scholarship reducation....
this could be a hell of a year if everybody in this program are serious about getting Bama back to where we belong and that means being #1

**** Tired of watching some other team in Atlanta and the BCS Championship Game.....
Tired!!! ****

Roll Tide Till I Die!!!!

Thnx. Well that isnt what you said but that aside, I am quite sure that those who look at the team one way or another support Alabama every bit as much as you do and with the same or more passion. That was my point. Furthermore, I have seen Alabama win more games we should have lost than any team has a right to claim. I doubt I or any fan with a different view about what probation has done to us, is counting Bama out of anything. Lastly, I am quite certain that everyone involved with Alabama football is very serious about every season. Look at this great board, and we are fans!
We won the first SEC championship in our 100th year of football and our 12 national title. Like Palmer said "we arent anybody, we are Alabama".
