Thanks Jess. Finally someone who sees au for what they are - frauds, at least at this point. They lost 5 of their last 7 games. One of the 2 wins in 2 OT against NW where they gave up over 600 yards of offense.

They do have competent to good OL, decent WRs and RBs. Their QB is a question mark, their D even moreso. They do have a bunch of Srs starting.

After the SEC saw them a little they were figured out. They averaged 20.8 ppg in their last 6 SEC games, 5 of which they lost.

After the first 9 min, Bama outscored them 26-7. After the first 9 min, Bama forced 10 3 and outs and gave up the one busted coverage TD and the end-game prevent. But au was so terrified that they were going to be steamrolled that they have acted like they won a championship 'cause they "played with Bama". Even though Bama was on a short-week and au coming off a bye-week, with the Bama focus on UF, not au.

They will have a very tough time with So Car, Ark, LSU, UGA. They have no chance of beating Bama. If they are not careful, they could lose to MSU, Clem, UK and/or OM. That is waaaay too many ifs for a program to challenge in any way for the West.

LSU is being grossly undersold because of Miles. While it is true that they could fall apart, IMO, they will have a solid year. Their D should be solid and the O improved. IMO, Jefferson has not been nearly as bad as most say. He is hesitant, but even with that he has been decent. His shortcomings can be remedied, at least somewhat. 9-3 like you opined is reasonable, even 10-2 is possible.

Next year will be even tougher for au. They will lose 18 of 24 starters: 7 on O, 9 on D and both kickers. They will drop UK and pick up UF. They will travel to Clemson, So Car, Ark, LSU and UGA and have UF and Bama at home. A likely 2-6 type SEC record for 2011.
