SEC Standings are wacko

With the cancellation of a game and a tie things are a little odd....ok lets just say for the sake of an argument that LSU finishes 20-9-1 and lets say Miss State finishes 20-9....who wins the SEC? ive heard that a tie counts as a .5 win and .5 loss, in that case i guess it would go to Miss State...but wouldnt you be ticked if you were LSU and maybe you even took the series from MSU....

does anyone know how a tie counts?? is it really the .5w .5l thing?

You are correct. A tie does count as a half game both ways. The final decision comes down to winning %. If both teams have the same winning %, then head to head decides.
