THE SEC SOFTBALL TV SCHEDULE WAS RELEASED TODAY AND OF COURSE SOME GAMES COULD BE ADDED LATER.
SEC Softball Television Schedule Released
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference, in conjunction with FSN and its Regional Sports Networks, released the 2009 SEC Softball TV schedule Wednesday. The games will air live on FS South, FS Southwest and Sun Sports.
The softball schedule includes four regular season games and will conclude with the SEC Tournament Championship game on Saturday, May 9 in Knoxville, Tenn., site of the 2009 SEC Softball Tournament.
Women’s College World Series participants, Florida and Alabama will kick off the television schedule when they meet in Gainesville on Sunday, March 29. This game will also be a re-match of the 2008 SEC Tournament Championship game. Next on the slate will be NCAA Tournament participants Tennessee and LSU in Baton Rouge, La. on April 5. Ole Miss will visit Georgia on April 11 and the final regular-season match up will feature Arkansas at Alabama. Georgia and Arkansas were also 2008 NCAA Tournament participants.
The SEC Championship Tournament will be May 7-9 at the Sherri Parker Lee Softball Stadium, home of the Tennessee Lady Vols. The Championship game will be televised live at 1:30 p.m. (ET).
