Will South Alabama win a NC before Auburn wins their next one? I visited some of their forums and 80% of their post are about Bama, so they and their administration seems to be more concerned about Bama than their own program. I think with the talent in that area in about 25 years, they will have a better chance than the yellow wood boys.

If memory serves me right, USA is starting out in the Sun Belt. I don't see them having enough success in the near future to get out of the Sun Belt and join a BCS conference. Yes, some non-BCS conference schools have gone to BCS games, but I do not think a Sun Belt team could make it to the big game.

If you visit other boards of teams such as LSU, the barn, Tennessee etc. you will find a large portion of their posts center around Bama. While they hate us its very obvious how obsessed they really are with everything that goes on with the Tide. Its like the neighbor who worries more about your affairs than you do.

To answer your question, yes I believe they will.

I think it will be interesting. USA already is very competitive in both baseball and basketball. I think the whole Sunbelt thing was because they did not have a football program. Sure it will take a few years for them to get anything established but I think Joey Jones is off to a pretty good start and there is a lot of talent in this state that is left over after Alabama and Auburn takes their cut. I just wonder if USA goes the route of UAB and lowers it academic standards to get more athletes in.

The push for a playoff is getting stronger every year. I could see us going to a playoff system in the next couple of years. We will just have to see how the BCS would play in all of this.

Bill Clark (former Prattville HC) is a boy dawg as a defensive coordinator...

I feel very comfortable in saying that the Barn will NOT win a national chamoionship before USA wins one...
