Just from what I see everyday when at classes at Reese Phifer, the construction seems to be going well (I'm assuming). Yesterday they removed the all the amplifying/speaker system off of the top of the scoreboard in the N endzone and earlier today more than half the scoreboard itself was gone and the crane and workers were still up there. I would guess that by the end of today it will all be gone.

It did kinda catch me off guard when walking to class this morning not seeing half the scoreboard, its one of those things you dont pay attention to unless somethign changes.

I would go take pics but I dont feel like going over there, but I'm done with classes and dont feel like going back over there...although I will take some of the progress sometime soon to post.

Are they going to put the Jumbo Tron back up when
contruction is done.

The score board is very special and it's alot of fun
hearing Bear Bryants voice before every game starts
and if they don't put the Jumbo Tron back up when
contruction is over why then it will never be the same. :biga2:

The top rows of seats on one side of the north endzone have been ripped out now, concrete and all. The metal framing is still there but the concrete is gone. Just thought i'd throw out an update.

According to the drawings...

I know the jumbotron is on the other end, but are they going to put up a NEW jumbotron on the north end.

there is no plan to have a jumbotron on the north end of BDS. However there are 2 gaps on either side of the north ednzone upper deck and there have been talks of putting videoscreens and/or scoreboards in each of those gaps.
