Yeah, it is good to see him get some respect. Here's what ESPN's Pat Forde had to say in his coulmn today about Steele:

"Ronald Steele might be the most underrated point guard in America.

Last game the Alabama sophomore played fewer than 39 minutes was in December. He's tireless and fearless, and he's done significant work picking up the slack after the Crimson Tide lost its best all-around player, Chuck Davis, to a season-ending injury.

Before Davis' injury, Steele was averaging 10.6 points. In 11 games since, he's averaging 18.5 points, including a career-high 29 against Arkansas Tuesday. Alabama is 7-4 in those games, keeping its NCAA hopes alive."

Ronald Steele is an outstanding guard and I think he will continue to receive national attention. He should be a pre-season All America pick. I just hope his legs hold out for the rest of this year.

Probably...

more concern needs to be directed to his back, since that crippled his game the first part of the season. Also, back problems have a way of recurring unexpectedly...

He definitely should win POTY, not a doubt in my mind and I think with the Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida games now nationwide the secret's out, he's a great player and he'll start getting more and more recognition

He does...

what is necessary. Today, he didn't have to knock down all the treys (although I don't have a quarrel with his taking more), so he just set up and fed. And penetrated...

Love huh?

You think they could get his name right.

They've done that all year," said Richard Steele, who had 19 points and seven assists for the Tide. "We knew they were capable and were coming off a loss. Coach kept reminding us to finish them off. We knew they weren't going to give up. I think our guys did good job of finishing."

I would not trade Ronald Steele for another point guard in the nation.

He makes great decisions, shoots the 3 well and seems to be able to take any player who is guarding him off the dribble at will.

He is outstanding. Hope he stays with Bama for 4 years.
