Unfortunately for Mr Knight, this game is not an exhibition played in New Orleans by a team disappointed they're not playing for a three-peat.

And other than Eddie Jackson maybe....isn't the entire secondary that played that game gone anyway? It's not even the same team.

Unless they've improved dramatically in all other facets of the game I can't see them doing anything. Kyle Allen wasn't a horrible QB, he was just young, nervous and overwhelmed. Reminded me a little bit of young Brandon Allen - I'd be a lot more nervous about playing a calm, cool, collected Kyle Allen with experience than Trevor Knight (Coupled with a few other factors Brandon Allen was one of the reasons I was a little nervous about the Arkansas game this year). He's a known quantity and , hopefully, he will be measured and found wanting.

Knight is a tremendous young man. Charismatic leadership skills as exemplified by being a co-captain as a non starting junior at OU. He has two problems that he will have to overcome for success at A&M....he is somewhat injury prone and he is very I consistent. He has all the skills but his biggest assets are his personal attributes. He's just a great kid. By the way, he committed to A&M out of H.S. but then decommitted and came to OU.

This actually changes the way I feel about his transfer. You just see so many kids bouncing from school to school but as a graduate transfer going to the school he originally wanted to go to, I think it makes sense.

Hey I'll pull for him outside his game against us. We owe him. (we still owe you guys too). But I can't shake the feeling that Sumlin has no clue how to run a big time program.

Let's see...Trevor Knight, former starter for OU or a 18 year old true freshman...or a walkon...man, that's a tough one...hmmmmm.

Probably because there's zero evidence he can.
No kidding. During the Manziel mania Sumlin's agent floats a rumor that NFL teams are interested in Sumlin. aTm subsequently gives Sumlin a new contract at $5M/year. Manziel, Mike Evans and all the other NFL talent left and all of the sudden the program tanks because now they are relying on the incapable head coach..

People forget that SUMLIN inherited a tremendous O-line recruited by Mike Sherman. I think the entire line is now playing on Sundays. Manziel was lightening in a bottle ( no pun intended ) but not someone u build a program from. A&M is a real enigma. They have everything going for them but they are traditionally a middle of the pack program. They were in the Big 12 and they continue to be in the SEC.
