On a somewhat related note...

I was the equipment manager for the men's track team at UA (2000-2004) and at the time there was no actual "Crimson" color for Nike. So, they had to create one just for Alabama. IIRC there was always an issue with some of the baseball/softball gear because the Crimson color Rawlings used wasn't an exact match. So the gear the catchers wore may have been just slightly off in color. I'm sure it's not a problem any more though.
