Just wanted to say we had a great time in TTown. Was nice to meet those of you I did. Enjoyed the leadup, the pre-game, the game and postgame. Everyone we met involved with UA were fantastic ambassadors of the program. All the fans were so amazing and passionate in their support of the team, and proudly of Jesse. On gameday in our green and gold Boxing Kangaroo shirts we got plenty of people come up to say hi and share a conversation. Fingers crossed I can return for a big game in New Orleans in January if you catch my drift.

Roll Tide!

If you came from home, you may well have set a record for the number of miles traveled to watch a Bama game. Glad you had a good time.

Mate! You got any more recruits Down Under who would like to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide?

Please send them to Tuscaloosa. If they are rich, let them know that they can walk-on.

ALL the Bama fans are proud to have Jesse on our team. He seems to be doing his job of clogging up the middle. Spread the word in Australia that Bama needs some more like Jesse, and we hope the name of "Crimson Tide" has spread throughout Australia.

Wow! Definitely saw you guys near the stadium. Didn't make the connection regarding the t-shirts though until I saw your post.

Huge JW fan here! I've been jokingly accused of stalking your son...love his tats and his talents - he is huge! And, in the first game of the season on the first play of the season, when I heard his name called by Eli, I yelled "that's my baby!" The lady in front of me, who is also a season ticket holder said "you too?" Seriously, I pick a new team member out every year and brand them as my baby....Mark Ingram was my baby too. ;)

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - When coaches, teammates and friends talk about how far Jesse Williams has come, they gush. Some refer to distance, others to discipline.

Literally, he has come 9,230 miles to Alabama. It's 7,450 miles from the picturesque beaches of Brisbane on Australia's east coast to the barren desert outside Yuma, Ariz., where he played football for two years at Arizona Western Community College.

And it's 1,780 more miles from Yuma to Tuscaloosa, where he is a starting defensive end this season for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
