Say what you will about Fox News, they keep receipts.

Two WSJ reporters wrote an extensive article on Biden's decline. The article ran a few weeks before the infamous debate, and the authors were roasted by a laundry list of media outlets -- CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, the Biden White House, etc. None of those rants have aged well.

Here's an article on the media's coverage of a WSJ article. Note the deafening silence of the originators of the criticisms.

Media viciously attacked WSJ for report on Biden showing 'signs of slipping' | Fox News

To call Jake Tapper a hypocrite is to insult all hypocrites out there. He was full-throated denier and mud-slinger at the time of the article, insulting the journalistic integrity of the authors. Less than a year later, he's selling a book based on exactly the stuff the article first surfaced.

My, how the worm does turn.

The Democratic Party and its allies in the media are responsible for us having to deal with Trump in the Presidency. If either had done their job and the Dems had nominated someone other than Biden, we wouldn't be in this mess.

BTW -- the Fox article contains an embedded link to the original WSJ article from June of last year. It's a long read, but worth it.
Meanwhile, trump continues to get a free pass.

Americans don’t trust these news sources — but they keep using them
New polling from YouGov reinforces that distrust in traditional media, a central engine of the political moment, remains acute.

This week, I wrote a column that looked at the Democratic Party’s current (but not eternal) travails. Any such column must necessarily grapple with the fact that America’s media ecosystem has splintered, with Republicans in particular existing in a news-consumption universe that Democrats — and even traditional media outlets — have had trouble permeating.

The idea that a large part of the Republican base "only" gets news that reaffirms their convictions is true. What nobody wants to say or admit is the brutal reality it's the same among a large part of the liberal base, too. Not because either group of people is "bad" or "smart", it's just human nature, period. All of us are biased, of course, but not all bias is equally biased, either.

The latest common online complaint I see from (some) liberals is, "Well, the media destroyed Biden on his baked brain, but they're not even covering Trump's signs of aging." But this is pretentious in the extreme since the issue with Biden was that every single time he did something that reinforced he might not all be there, the media told us not to believe what we were (key word here) SEEING. Biden went a year without a Cabinet meeting, Trump is seen making the same type of moronic statements that we became accustomed to four years ago and tweeting almost daily again.

Those are NOT the same thing.

Btw - let me remind everyone of something that's kinda gotten lost: one of the best-known cases of media spin was when the NASCAR crowd was chanting a profanity at Biden and the pit reporter - who could not possibly have misunderstood what was clear on television - said the crowd was cheering for the guy she was interview, "Brandon." That was probably the best and earliest case of "yes, we know what you think you heard on TV, but we're going to tell you that you didn't just hear that." And then there was a bunch of whining about "Let's go Brandon."

This is an interesting and very current problem.

Video gets posted showing Palestinians going tothe US/Israeli aid distribution point and receiving food.

Guy named Hamid Bandaas says it is AI-generated.

BBC AI veideo investigator says it appears real.

Daily Wire says it got it from Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

ANother guy on Twitter says, the GHF is a front organization for the Mossad.

This is one of those times when having a really honest news organization that habitually surrender to its biases and reports facts in as unbiased fashion as possible would be really really useful. Sadly, we seem to be out of those.

Sorry if dupe, but it disappeared. Didn't AI+GUI finish those off?

So yesterday Twitter was full of all this "Biden deported, Obama deported more illegals than Trump and there was never this much of a problem."

Well, for starters:

1) So nice of the press to finally inform us Biden is more racist than Trump (since the repeated declaration is that supporting deporting illegals makes you a racist)

2) Did it ever dawn on these people this partisanship cuts both ways?

"No, we don't care if Biden/Obama deport folks, we need them for other things we like, but if a REPUBLICAN does it, well, we're gonna burn down the city" (which almost always is - wait for it - run by a Democratic mayor).

You know it's not as simple as that, and you know that. It's the way they're going about it and that's intentional...

Oh, I know that.

Maybe I should have used blue font.

You and I agree most things aren't nearly as simple as the partisans try to make them.
They've figured out even more ways to snatch people who are technically "legal." They're digging back through cases admin judges have ruled "favorable" on, meaning the person has established a case for asylum, then the government dismisses them. Presto! You have a brand-new illegal, with no case pending. Before they can refile, they're whisked away. They're also not paying any attention to valid work permits...

The intent is to make mistakes in detaining or snatching people. This is about more than immigration...

I would wager they want a certain number of false positive detainees.

If they are here illegally, especially if newly here, I dont care who is deporting them. Just do it legally.
