I have been as critical as anyone about our offensive performance the past two weeks, but I have to think that this stretch of games we are currently in is the main reason. When you look back, after the Tennessee game, we will have played 5 SEC opponents in a row, with the last four in a row all coming off bye-weeks. As far as I'm aware that is unprecedented, and may be the toughest stretch of SEC schedule ever played. We have currently played three games in a row where the team has had the extra week to prepare, rest-up, watch film, etc. to get ready for our offense. If we can find a way to beat UT and end up going 4-1 during this stretch, I'd say that is pretty impressive. Unfortunately this is all lost on most fans and observers.

"Kramer's last revenge" is how I see Alabama's schedule this year. This is the last year the SEC schedule was formalized under Kramer who, as we all know, is not a friend of Alabama and never has been. I am sure he is chuckling with glee from his home in Maryville, TN, in the same neighborhood as Phatphil.

Bama won the NC last year so that, in itself, makes it have a huge target on its back. Added to that, these SEC teams have a bye week before playing us which is a huge advantage. Thankfully, TN is the last team we have to play with a bye week before we have our own bye week. (LSU also has a bye week next week).

Actually only the last two have had bye weeks (Florida did not). The six teams that have bye weeks before us are USCe, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU (we have one also, so this doesn't really count in my eyes), MSU, and Auburn. Our loss came to one of those teams who had a bye, so the point is still a valid one.

I have nothing but repect for our Players, Staff, and overall program. The Crimson Tide is not perfect but they are tough and they do not quit.

True, I misspoke earlier. We have played TWO teams in a row coming off a bye week, with the third coming up.
